I’m not sure Pep works like that. Rather than knock players down a peg or two I think he uses the carrot rather than the stick. He wants players to thrive on competition rather than demean them. Just my opinion

gen question. Based on training, fitness levels and likely strategy, how do you know that is not our best eleven to face the Arse today.

Will be interesting to see how Bernardo and gundogan get on together rather than one or the other with Kevin or Dave.

Sane always has a slow start, pep loves sterling no matter how many fan lineups drop him to the bench before the season starts, he's obviously taking his time with debruyne as he will be playing near enough every match and Bernardo has looked excellent. Gundogan was quite good last weekend too. And stones laporte is the future, get used to it.

A lot of us are assessing Sané's fitness and attitude like we know that's the problem, but what if it's just tactical? Maybe Sterling blew Pep away in training?

I think he uses each depending on the player. Sterling probably needs carrot and Sane stick.

Sane had the longest preseason of anyone. He was at worst a top 10 player in the entire league last year. Pep is pretty clearly sending a message.

why do people always assume players have attitude probs,the kids are inconsistant,get used to it

He was best young player in the country & had a great season. Better than Mahrez for me.
 
Be interesting to see this play out and see how good are squad actually is. I’m just not a big fan of Gundogan in the big games.

I’m sure arsenal gain some additional confidence in knowing Dave & Kev are not starting.

Still im fully confident the boys will do it today. 3 points needed with the rest getting their wins this weekend

Or he is fit, has a perfectly fine attitude, and he just prefers Raz? Sterling is a good player tbf
