De Bruyne injury - Back in Training (p89)

Its a lot easier to find a makeshift left back (Delph) that it would be to find a makeshift central midfield player I think is his point.
We struck it lucky with Delph. An intelligent footballer who bought in early to Pep's plans. Look at Zin. Struggled at full back. Look at Danilo. Struggled in midfield. All positions are a problem when you fit a square peg in a round hole.

Best case scenario Kev is back in around 10 weeks time, thats all we can hope for, its just a freak training ground injury, we will cope no doubt about that.

Is it me or does that sound positive i.e. implying that 'treatment' could actually prevent the injury?

Treatment could prevent flying back I think.

If the injury requires immediate surgery then he won't be flying back
Arriving home will indicate either surgery is not required or it's too early and they will have to wait for any swelling to go down

On a positive note, this could be the rest that he needs to come back better than ever after atound Christmas

If it's badly swollen he shouldn't be flying.

A quid.
I think we've played a blinder here.
City's best player gets injured in the week that the new city series is released and photos of kev on the blue carpet at the premiere.
Maximum exposure.
Great selling pitch pardon the pun.
Clever little fuckers aren't we.
Are you starting a counter theory that Kev is not injured but a publicity stunt by Amazon/ City to promote their joint venture?

I'm in.
