De Bruyne injury - Back in Training (p89)

We need facepalm emojis on this site. It's beyond ridiculous some of the responses I'm getting.
No it's not. You talk shit sometimes, people argue against you. It's the way a forum works. On other occasions, you might talk some sense, so people agree with you. I know this hasn't happened yet, but it's something to look forward to.

Saying all players/positions are equally important makes no sense. So Barcelona would miss Messi no more than other players in the team?

You’re confusing ‘players’ with ‘positions’ mate.

I tell you what, if the full backs aren’t as important as the CMs, let’s get rid of Walker and Mendy and play two kids there. It’ll be reet.

Not that I am an expert with regards to injuries but feels like we have to be careful with Stones/Walker as well and to a certain extent Fernandinho and Kompany because of the involvement in the world cup. Sterling doesn't worry me that much as he's light and Pep said he's easily trained.

Get well soon Kev! We have an amazing squad and we'll cope although you'll be missed!

8 weeks is not too bad and considering our fixtures I would like to think we can cope without him.

He’ll be back in less than 2 months (just a hunch based on no medical knowledge whatsoever)

Sheesh! You'd have thought I said something out of the ordinary.

I've concluded that there are posters who oppose anything I say on principle.

There is nothing controversial about saying CMs are more critical to a team than fullbacks. They are. And Kev is far better than Mendy.

As a general idea, fullbacks are not as critical, and specifically Mendy is not as critical as Kevin. And fullbacks are not generally more critical on Pep's teams than CMs.

FFS Mendy is the cherry on top. Kevin is the god-damned Cake!

To even compare them is ridiculous.

Isn't the goalminder most critical for pep

If we miss him for Liverpool game it won’t be the end of the world , I think we need to be realistic and try not to rush him back to play before he is ready , time for Foden to show the world his skill set

No surgery and an estimated recovery timeof around 2 months.

Probably not as bad as we first feared.

Plus the next few fixtures are fairly kind to us so we should be alright. Liverpool (a) would be tricky with or without Kev.

Will give KDB the break he needs, he played a lot last year even coming on as sub in some cup games where he should have been taking a break. Probably his choice to be included in the squad. A fit, rested, machine of a player for the rest of the season, great news.
