booking next years holidays with brexit coming

I’m researching my 2019 holidays and don’t need a visa for Buenos Aires. I also didn’t need one for Serbia and Georgia and neither will I need one for Albania.

If they don’t want to let us in with GB passports then we holiday elsewhere.

Off to New Zealand again for 3 months mid January so will away in March. Just wish we didn’t have to come back.

normally when I get back of my hols early October I book somewhere for next year to give me something to look forward to.but with brexit happening would it be wise to wait to see what happens or get in before the prices skyrocket

prices wont 'skyrocket'

haha this is like the computer millennium bug
Reminds me of it too. I guess nowt will change.
The only times I have ever seen things change dramatically is due to wars, recessions and decimalisation. Will Brexit really change anything once the politicians have fudged it.

No one ever went abroad before we joined the common market
Not so much actually, I'd be about 9 and the only person I knew that had been abroad was my friend who was the son of a surgeon. Where as now my sons friends that haven't been abroad are the exception, if any.

I have already booked Venice, New York, Palma and France.

The pound will be shot to fuck and I have annual travel insurance because there’s every chance EHIC will end. Not sure if the dog might be in trouble with the pets passport too! Mobile phone roaming will cost a fortune again and we’ll all have to take euros with us cos ATM charges will cost a fortune.

Will be a drop in the ocean compared with what you will need to spend in Venice mate!

Use monzo you won't get any charges mate, great card for using abroad.

Been going every year for the last 5 years.

Lot of bollocks written about Venice by journalists and lazy arses who aren’t capable of a bit of research.

I can take you to restaurants in every area that are no more expensive than in the UK. There are hundreds of cichetti bars where a spritz is 2-3 euros, bar snacks 1-3 euros. Because I go every year I have the Venetian travel card that gets me water bus travel at the local rate, not the tourist rate. Yes if you are stupid you can get ripped off, but so you can here. Got to admit I knowingly paid a ludicrous amount for a Bellini in Harry’s bar, but what the hell, you only live once.

I find it no more expensive than anywhere else I’ve been.

I was in on Monzo from the first trial a few years ago.

The restrictions on it make it no use to me any more.

I use a Halifax Clarity card that is best for me.

But the changes coming after Brexit will end all these deals.

Monzo, Halifax Clarity, Revolution, Starling etc. Will end their free access.
