I agree. Most PL games are not worth watching either but probably have the edge in terms of the odd bit of quality than the OF derby game on earlier.

How did Scottish football become so poor? They used to have some decent players.

I know that what I was highlighting was any adverse publicity re crowd control / behaviour at the present time could be used by those averse to the adoption of safe standing being introduced at some grounds.

I am away to stand in the corner. It’s true though, most games in the EP involving 14 of the teams only interested in survival, are an affront to football.

It’s not as if they don’t have money to buy players to have a go. Instead they just try and stop football. I usually last about 15 minutes watching then turn it over to a programme about shovels. fucking turgid negative shit.

I love a good shovel and you would be amazed at the variety on offer. :)

They could try, but it’s nothing to do with safe standing. Safe standing is safer than normal seats. Nobody can fall on top of you when you score.

I read somewhere else that 2 Celtic fans were involved in a car crash on the way to the game and they had tickets in the safe standing area. Clearly these areas are not safe as evidenced by your link too.

I too was thinking of going to the safe standing area, but didn’t have a ticket so got drunk and watched us totally piss all over them, was bawling and shouting so much my mrs fell out with me.

Don’t tell me these areas are safe. I’m still in the doghouse. Explain that away safe standing supporters.

Anyone using an incident outside a stadium to justify keeping stadiums all seated will very obviously be not taken seriously and will also be laughed at.

Tbf that one could have gone either way, but it should have been a red card to the Rangers keeper and a Celtic penalty for the kick, so Slippy really shouldn't be moaning.
He needs to have a word with his players about composure, that would have been their 5th silly red this season.
