Sane leaves German squad/Congratulations Leroy! (p13)

Back to the issue , sane is a really good player an outstanding talent and hopefully returns to form for us because he is frightening.

The difference for us is this year

Formation - he has gone from a solid 4 at the back with a defensive minded Delph behind him to allow him to worry less about defensive duties

To a 3 with Mendy as a wing back. Mendy stands on the left wing the same as sane and is way more attack minded than Delph. When sane got on the other week he was poor but he did not know where to play as most of the time Mendy was ahead of him standing on the touch line.

So the 22 year old is having to adapt to that. New formation and not as defensive minded player behind him.

I also think pep likes 3 5 2 really and wants it to work and he wants Mendy in his team but I think in the prem when we press it leaves us open to the ball over the top from teams who play that way. I really hope Delph plays when we play the dippers.

Anyway , when we start playing two games a week like we will soon, sane and Foden and other great talents will have to get more game time to build confidence.
 
Hope he’s okay. People will jump to the conclusion it’s his attitude but let’s give the guy the benefit of the doubt till we know the real reason.
 
Kicker.de writes his girlfriend is awaiting their first child. Could it be related? I don't see why else kicker would mention this fact. Hopefully not a Silva type situation.
 
Leroy Sane has left the Germany team hotel for private reasons following discussions with head coach Joachim Low.

The Manchester City forward, controversially left out of the World Cup squad in summer, was recalled for the September fixtures and came off the bench for the final stages of their 0-0 draw with France .



However, Germany announced on Friday afternoon that Sane will not be available for the Peru match on Sunday.

The furore around Sane has been one of a number of issues that continue to dominate talk around the Germany camp. If his Russia exclusion sparked an inquest in some circles, there was also concern that Low had only recalled the 22-year-old
