Cardiff seem to be having more of a go this season and I predict they will cause us similar problems to Wolves. They gave Chelsea a tough game until the last ten minutes or so.

Strong defence and clean sheet is a must for me.

Upfront we need to be much more unpredictable.
More change of pace, runs in the channels and between their lines please.

Bury. The. Chances.

I think the team lacks a bit of confidence and you can feel it. Opponents do as well.
We have to show our muscles.

We also need louder support.

The whole squad needs a boot up the backside. If Danilo is fit Walker should be benched to give him a slap. Kompany amd Otamendi should play so Stones and Laporte realise they cannot get away with defensive errors. Delph too. Jesus is out of form so back on the bench. Gundogan should be put of the matchday squad altogether. Foden should be our CM option feom the bench.

Ederson
Danilo
Kompany
Otamendi
Mendy
Ferny
Bernardo
Silva
Sterling
Sane
Aguero

We need to have a quick tempo from the start unlike Wednesday when we were very slow and lethargic.

Ederson
Walker
Oto
Stones
Mendy
Bernardo
Dhino
Merlin
Sane
Sterling
Aguero

Warnock will be physical no doubt, no silly errors or sloppy play like Wednesday and we should be ok

Kompany & Otamendi should start as we need tough guys for this one. Also, I read somewhere that we have a poor post-Europe-tie record unlike the Arses apparently.

I really would like to see Walker, Ota & Vinny, Zinch , Ferni, Berni, Merlin, Sane, Kun, Sterling.
Foden & Mahrez to get game time IF we manage to get ahead with a comfortable margin.
I’m sure we all have not doubt that the players will want to make up for that terrible display v Lyon. Put it behind them. If that’s the only bad display we have this season, I’ll take it now.
1-2 City, only because we will be guaranteed to gift them a goal. It will be a hard, physical game but we really need to take our chances or we will regret it.

I'd love to think Saturday is the ideal for Foden.

4-1 up to Huddersfield at home was ideal for Foden. 3-0 up at home to Fulham was ideal for Foden. Pep failed to give him a single minute in either of those.

For all the good Pep's done for this club, I can't see him turning Foden into a top player. He simply doesn't want to use him. Guardiola's only real flaw.

Warnock press conference.. Is it true. Did De bruyne scythe down a Cardiff player and put him out for 6 months ?

Pep on Benjamin Mendy: "Injured."

Pep on Lyon: "The players don’t have to apologise. For what? They ran and they fought, they tried to come back. The competition punishes mistakes."

Pep on De Bruyne: "I don't know. I spoke with the doctor sometimes, he told me it's going so well. But he has to come back to the training sessions and we'll see how he works."

Pep on Aguero: "Thank you so much for that (signing a new deal). He’s one of the players who shows his commitment to the club on the training ground every day."

What's wrong with Mendy now?? No reports on his injury or length of time expected to be out?
