Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy has been banned from driving for a year after accumulating 24 points on his licence.

Police reported him to the courts after he failed to say who drove his Mercedes car when it was caught speeding four times in less than two weeks.

Love Mendy to death but this stinks, there are 3 possibilities. He was the driver but couldn't be arsed filling in the forms - 2) he hasn't a scooby who is driving the car at any given time and doesn't care how they drive or 3) he knows who was driving and knows that they dont have a licence and therefore dont have insurance in which case he is a total shit.

I wonder what the clubs stance on this is.

I agree with you totally it's not smart from a 'role model' of many kids etc.
