I wondered whether anyone might be able to help me out of a bind?

I am a season ticket holder in the Family Stand together with my 3 kids; we travel up from London. I wasn't able to make Huddersfield or Newcastle due to holidays and Euston being shut (and yes I sold my tickets) but merrily rocked up to the Fulham game, saw my kids through the turnstiles only to find my card wouldn't work. Stewards were useless but the ticket office did print me a paper ticket and I got in although of course missed Leroy's goal. We're all planning to come up on Saturday but I thought I'd better check there were no problems. I called the club and after 3 calls and an e-mail have been informed I am banned from the stadium, which is why my card wouldn't work. Nice of them to tell me!

What happened is that I couldn't get seats together for the Liverpool CL game and so swapped with someone so I could sit with the kids. That person was then involved in the fight with the Dipper fans who stood up when they scored. The police called me but after reviewing CCTV and my online profile, confirmed it wasn't me and everything was fine. The club however say they haven't been informed of this, I am banned and can't get in this weekend. Everyone I have spoken to has frankly been useless so I wanted to check whether anyone has here has a contact they would recommend that I might be able to speak to as an alternative?

Thanks

Now this is an example of what can happen when the club lets anyone in, not the OP but the dippers who managed to get tickets

The Terms and Conditions are quite clear on this and in the case you describe the club are well within their rights to issue a ban. Sounds harsh and you're not the person who was involved in the fight, but section 10 looks cut and dried in this instance:

Your understanding is heartwarming. I'm sure the rules would support them but, at a minimum, would you not expect them to tell me before I commence a 400 mile round trip accompanied by 3 children? Anyhow, Danny and Lisa have both replied very quickly and are looking into it for me.

I genuinely think they wouldn’t and couldn’t care less how far any of us travel and who we travel with when making these decisions. They’ll have someone sat in an office who’ll be given supporters’ numbers, details of the “offence” and they’ll hit the button and, hey presto, you’re banned. Far easier for them to do that than to take the time in finding out the rights and wrongs. I’m sure it goes both ways - they’ll have plenty of sob stories from fans who’ve been caught bang to rights and this will inevitably tar others with the same brush. To play devil’s advocate, the club could simply say, “you gave your card to someone who was caught fighting and in contravention of the rules associated with being in possession of a season card. The sanction is clear and explicit in the terms when you buy the card.” You're not dealing with the bloke in the hut who used to run the travel club at Maine Rd. Sadly. You, me, us, whoever, we’re simply a number. I hope you get it resolved in your favour - keep us updated. Methinks you’ll get no joy though. They won’t want to set a precedent.

Not true as far as Danny and Lisa are concerned. I've always found them to be more than helpful. Give them a chance before damning them

The Scousers in this are irrelevant. The op sold his ticket and was unlucky but the truth is how careful are people when selling on?
I see it in the ticket forum all the time. People sign up purely to get tickets and are successful because blues want rid of tickets, especially the whores who misjudged an away allocation selling out.could be selling to touts, banned or even away fans. Be careful.
Look at how many posts they have. Pm me and I'll try to check them out for you.
If you do end up with a "spare" sell it someone you know wont get thrown out, even for smoking.

I'd fully endorse this, that's how my lady's ticket was banned see my earlier post.

When I shift it now it's only to a regular poster, not fail safe but been fine since.

Not directly regarding this case but what would happen then if someone sold their seat on the official ticket exchange site and that person was kicked out? Would the original seat holder be banned?

Obviously not as the responsibility for re-allocation has transferred to the club.

He didn't sell on Bill, he swapped seats so he could sit with his kids, and the guy he swapped with got onto a fight with the scousers.
