Save Our Peg

More what he didn't say. When asked what did you say to them at HT. His reply "you know what I said" i took it to say go and win me my last game just a hunch but it was down beat

Jaysus you're really reading into it aren't ya? :-)

I actually think he conducted himself quite well on BT Sport. The more I think about it, I think he knew exactly what he was doing laying the blame at Rashford and McTominay's feet. That was him telling Woodward it was his fault that he has to play them both.

I expected a less balanced Jose today. He actually had his shit together.

Now if you want to read into anything it should be that simple fact.

He's at peace with his payoff :-)

Not in mine. They beat us last season when they were equally as shit. I’d rather they lost, stayed on 10 points, sacked Mourinho and had a new manager trying to polish a turd.

No city fan should ever want them to win.
I hate the bastards every fucking one.
But I was glad when they won today.
Going 2 down to Newcastle proved how shite they are.
And them going on to win keeps the peg in a job for a bit longer and the thick cockney twats will still think there in the title race.

Pressed the like button. But that made me laugh

Only problem is there is an international break now. Going to have to put up with two weeks of "United are back" whereas if there was a game in a few days the further meltdown would be incredible.

Where does Rashford go from here, criminally blamed by the Buffoon. What can it do for the other kid Mactomminay, his confidence must be rock bottom. My animus for the Portuguese grows daily.

It feels like Woodward wants him to lose so he has the excuse to get rid. Mourinho is clearly playing the fans off against him at the expense of the players to cover his failings in the transfer market which have largely failed. The next time they play away from home they will lose and the cycle repeats itself. If it means United generally play shit and have to keep PEG then i'll live with that

I’m not so sure. United are a PLC where brand is everything. The brand is currently damaged regardless of results and they have a big decision to make. Global fan base is everything to them. Without that they lose sponsorship. Zidane fits their profile and will only helps the brand due to his own global brand.

They had nothing to lose 2nd half and Newcastle capitulated once they conceded a goal. I can’t believe that the board of a plc would make a decision on a one off win against a team as poor as Newcastle.

They couldn’t sack him after West Ham with Valencia so soon after and no point before the Newcastle game. An international break gives them breathing space.

They have either decided to stick with him and risk further damage to the brand or sack him. I can’t see one game making a difference.

Personally I think they will sack him on Monday when the markets open.

Well he'll need some apples for the journey.

And, much as it grieves me to admit, this is probably why I laughed a little at today’s Comeback - there is still a glimmer that they might still cling onto.

If they don’t it only creates more of that ‘dead man walking’ feeling that future managers will need to take heed of - where every game is a pressure cooker and a string of a few bad’uns in a row could lead to rumblings and decisions higher up.

In essence, unless the board act with immediate effect, they will perpetuate the disquiet and uncertainty that tears clubs apart from the inside - and this result gives everyone hope that they won’t.

(Of course I may be completely wrong on all counts).

Important result for the PEG campaign , he might make it until Xmas now which will mean they will be out of the Champs league , in mid table and looking forward to an FA Cup exit , when they realise their season is about to end in January , they can then bring in Big Sam to keep them up abily assisted by Giggsy and the Ginger Pig. You heard it here first.

They only thing that will save him for me is if they don’t want Zidane.

They may decide to wait until the man they want is available. Bit like we had to do, sticking with Pellegrini.

I think he wants out though. He can’t be happy being away from family, living in a hotel, fucking class of 92 commenting on his every move ( notice how they have all of a suddenly started rallying around him this week - still on payroll??) and living in the shadow of pep and failing miserably.

Even today, his press conference was muddled and he threw Rashford and McTominay under a bus when he really didn’t need to.

It’s a strange one. If they sack him they panic and get Zidane who may or may not work. If they stick with him they risk further damage to the brand but end up getting who they want at the end of the season.
