Sterling’s contract - three year extension confirmed

Is that right

Problem is it don't matter 2 fucks what you think,or me for that matter, but my assertion is that there would be enough fucking tears to over fill the Irwell when you look back in this thread if he left, which as I say is ridiculous, and many would agree

The might of Iceland who were 2-0 up by the way, before he was introduced, just for info purposes of course, and Hazard would be a dream player to have in our ranks, whether he is bigging up a Madrid move or not,but yea I'll give you that one to your response,we wouldn't be happy if he chatted like that if he played for us,but if he played for us he wouldn't need to,as he'd be happy here I'm sure, playing in the best side in the league.

So still begs the question as to why he hasn't signed yet doesn't it ?

No doubt you can respond with a pile of shit as well

At last. Doesn't matter what you think.

My my, what a bad temper you have and with the debating skills of neolithic man.

He hasn't signed yet because he hasn't got the deal he wants, that can't be that hard to understand surely ?

I just never quite understand what the hating brigade get out of running one of our best players down, it must be an odd new phenomenon of modern day football.

Then again folks hated Joe Corrigan at one point and ran Ian Bowyer out of town towards two European cup medals, now the last one could be used as an analogy if you want but then again you will just think this is another pile of shite so it doesn't really matter does it :)

Saw all of this. The cnstant boos for Corrigan from our own supporters , who then hailed him a hero. BOwyer who was booed out of the club. It is unfortunately a sad indictment of the masses.

I never saw that many hated Joe Corrigan or wanted him out but maybe I was too young to understand, now if you’d have said Joe Hart then you would only have to look on here to see that,so many blinkered and happy when he was shown the door, all with short memories of course.

Bowyer was before my time

Back to Sterling,I have said I’m not arsed either way and stuck to that, but honestly the way he is made out is just not realistic ,opinions which even the lover brigade fail to acknowledge

And this is why you should say your piece once and back off, what do you get out of running him down ?

You are blatantly wrong though that is the biggest laugh, how any City fan can't see what Raheem Sterling brings to this team on a consistently high basis staggers me, it really does.

He scored over 18 league goals last season from the wing, so if you want a 5th of our goals, he assisted into double figures, he works incredibly hard for the team on his wing, tracking back and making tackles and fulfilling the press assignment that Pep desires but all of this to the likes of you means nothing, in fact not realistic, how incredibly stupid is that btw ?

Find another winger in world football that will deliver what he does for what under 100m in this age of stupidly inflated transfer fees, wonder how much Bale would command for a transfer fee, his wages are reputed to be close to 600k a week, is that too rich for you also ?

You use lover as a derogatory term and that really is the saddest thing, should we not like or support out players when wearing our shirt ?

Don't get me wrong, if he leaves at the end of this contract for free I will be extremely pissed off, I will be pissed off that he done us out of a transfer fee but will I go all Liverpool on him, I very much doubt that, as I will be already hoping that a youth from our younger squads would be ready to take his place and we can get back to supporting the team and players that wear that shirt.

I can understand people disliking a player but what I can't understand is the poster that comes onto these threads and argues for page after page after page that one of our own is shite or isn't worth this contract.

Say it once and fuck off to a thread on a player you like and have some fun.

ps you will find my name all over the Hart thread, you only have to read it.

Fair enough, but as I’ve said, and it’s not only me,as soon as I say anything about him there is always someone who tries, and I emphasise tries,to have a go,but on other player threads it’s a free reign on here to slag them when things aren’t going well, but not good old Raz,he’s untouchable, and nothing is allowed to be said against him, love in is a bit surreal at times ,city player or no city player.

Take tonight for a prime example ,hooked again and pretty poor from all accounts but let’s not let home truths get in the way of a debate, but to be contradictory I’m not too fussed about England performances

We shall see how fickle folk are if he doesn’t sign, let’s hope he doesn’t do a Milner eh

I care that little for international football I forgot it was on and tbf playing with shite seems to bring the worst out of him and pretty much pray that he doesn't do a milner on us, for one the cost would be ten fold.

I confess to being a bit of a player defender, nasri, yaya apart but I didn't go arguing about it, made a statement and buggered off.

Me personally, city should pay him what he wants he’s only going to get better and better through his career.

If we're going to be held randsom by Sterling, and thereby forced to throw money (or spend crazy money) at him, then we might as well buy the world's best RW or Right mids. Why settle for Sterling? He's nowhere near the top of the list in his position(s).

We can’t afford to go out and buy one. Never mind the fact Sterling in his current form is probably in the top tier of wingers. Who else would you rather? Mbappe probably as he on paper starting at RW for PSG.

The money we would get for Sterling wouldn’t even touch the sides for a replacement

We bought Sterling for how much, 50m? 60m? Wha't the most we can sell him for -- 80-85m?
Mbappe would be #GOALS. Dream scenario. How much would he cost? 200m? Perhaps Sheik Monsour has a personal liking to Mbappe LOL (I'm sure Mendy will be in his ears 24/7)

Because he is one of the best RW's in the world atm, do you not watch our games? How do you fail to see what he brings to the team on a weekly basis?

Do remember we need some homegrown players as well.

Pep isn't committing beyond 2021 currently so maybe this is impacting his desire to sign a new contract. I don't see a problem also if he wants a different life experience during his playing career.

forget about arguing over tittle tattle, percentage wise how do you both rate the clubs chances that Sterling will sign this contract.

Lets assume that to be true, why haven't we offered a contract that that class of person would warrant? Not looking to stir the pot, just curious as to why, if we have the best player in the world in that position, we haven't signed him up yet

If he genuinely wants to stay at the club I'm certain a financial agreement will be found.

If sterling really wants to stay he will sign a new contract if he doesn’t he won’t and he will be sold or go on a free it’s that simple.
