Helicopter crash involving Leicester City owners

Fuck me - bad day for football what with Hoddle and now this - as in the case of Hoddle hope all goes well for whomsoever is involved.

It just goes to show, life's that thing that happens when you're busy making other plans. A routine trip that's made from every home game, ends up in a tragedy. I feel horrible thinking about it, it's just so awful and unfortunate.

Just shows.

Even if you are rich, famous, have power, privilege, etc, it all counts for nothing.

My thoughts go out to their families and friends.

Reminiscent of the night Matthew Harding was killed, I was living less than a couple of miles from where his came down, fairly sure it was a Monday night and it was foggy, terrible tragedy as is this one @ Leicester.

edit, it's only 5 days since the 22nd anniversary of Hardings death.

Sky Sports News reporter Rob Dorsett said: "At about 8:30 this evening, eye witnesses told me they saw the Leicester City owners' helicopter take off from the pitch inside the King Power stadium - as it does after every home game - and after a few seconds it appeared to lose control.

"It sounds as if there was a problem with the rear tail propeller which sent it spinning out of control and it crashed into the car park at the rear of the King Power Stadium, just a few hundred metres away from where the pitch is, before it burst into flames."

It is not clear who was on board or their conditions.

After every home game about 20 dignitaries are taken away from the stadium in the helicopter.

Many fans had left the stadium at the time of the incident but those who were still nearby were seen running away as the aircraft crashed.

Said on other reports it carries 8 including the pilots.
