Helicopter crash involving Leicester City owners

Incidents like this remind how crushing and tragic both the Torino team and Munich aircrashes would have been when news broke, the impact is cushioned for us because (except for much older fans) we only read about the facts post facto.
You are right. Although very young living through the Munich tragedy will never leave me.

What a terrible accident, my heart goes out to all the families who have lost friends & loved ones, a very sad day for football, but we carry on just like we all did after the tragic events at Hillsborough, Valley Parade, Munich & Celtic all those years ago, RIP.

Celtic?

Seems a long time now with no announcement on casualties. Absolute tragedy. Thoughts and prayers with the LCFC family

I know the son wasn't at the game but if he was in Thailand maybe he is heading over to break the news hence the delay in any announcement?
Whilst he is no doubt grieving if as expected his father has died the Thai people are very honourable and may be he sees it as his duty to be the one to inform the people of Leicester and the wider world what has happened

So very sad - seemed a nice man from what I have read.

Donated £2 million to a local hospital.

Thoughts to all at Leicester city. A great club.

Have we heard whether the Manager is safe and not on board as was previously thought ?
Reports coming from France that Puel is alive and well and wasn't on board. Apparently he may have been doing interviews at the time of the crash.
