United thread 2018/19

Probably for the same reason Ashley Young stayed on the pitch at Chelsea - Mike Dean/Jon Moss.

I'm not saying these two favour a particular team, but they were weak when it mattered, and changed the outcome of the game as a result.

That Smalling one was a farce, bad, late tackle which resulted in a pen and not a second yellow. Couldn't believe it. I watched it in the boozer and there wasn't one United fan who didn't agree he should have gone.

Jeez do you ever have good things to post? You need some positivity in your life buddy.

Christ, my whole post was a positive response to the kids being at the game, it was 99% of this thread who spun it negatively. They are right in what they are saying but also couldn't for one second say it was a nice gesture none the less.

I'm just glad we have a couple of fans who display a superior clarity and a more grounded approach where Manchester United are concerned,it helps give the rest of us massive, bitter,Bertie types......a sense of balance and perspective.

So,thanks lads,youre a real credit!

Put emotions and hatred aside occasionally. It is refreshing.

Nothing stopping other clubs inviting them to there match.

There isn't, if other clubs done it too there would be more acknowledgement to the gesture. Sadly the truth would be for them kids if they had to pick a premier league team United would have been the club of choice for the majority.

Bit daft that mate. You’ve obviously not been reading. Forget the club, the colours and whatever else. Focus on the gesture. Kids who thought they would die got a day out in the premier league. That is great - for them.
But fuck me for being human eh?
Think the whole kids trapped in a cave needs a closer look, before anybody gets swept away by the utd pr machine..
I can remember reading months ago that the leader of the established top cave rescue company on the planet, with years of experience of the partc problem faced by the trapped party, had their offer of help turned down by the Thailand goverment..a wierd decision at the height of the crisis, the lads were apparently in grave danger,as reported by seemingly every media outlet in the world...but didnt require expert help..

Just looking back at the deeply unpopular Thai goverments spectacular deception in forcing thousands of bemused 'leicester fans' out on the streets to welcome their teams visit after they had a avoided relegation a few years back, and then again 12 months later when they had won the league by 10 pts(lol)
and then considering the powerful media control exhibited by both utd and leicester football clubs in both this country and Thailand, forgive me for being just a touch cynical about events..

But deep, but fair enough.

How was what was said at the expense of our own? Nothing to do with City or anyone else. Of course it is a PR thing for them, they probably need it all things considered. That's why I said regardless of Uniteds intentions think of the day them kids had. Does bitterness cloud seeing them kids enjoy themselves? If City done it you all would have a massive hard on. If City done it I also would have said it is a nice touch.

This kind of incident? You mean people being trapped somewhere for a length of time? That is a small pool of incidents to jump on isn't it. Two examples of them doing it that's all. I have no doubt they done it so their club can be seen in a positive light for the first time in a while. No one is stupid enough to thing that it has been done for anything but publicity but at the end of the day them kids would have loved it. Even if United are shite. So you are saying that if you help one person or set of people you are then responsible for deprived kids everywhere? City and United do their community stuff don't they, I imagine both clubs give many free tickets away to the local area etc. The fact is no one is arsed about them in the crowd, big news like them kids and people are bothered.
When are you going to switch to another one of your wum accounts on here? I reckon you slipped pigeonho when you posted with your original monikor earlier as you save that one for the agenda threads.

Of course it’s a pr stunt but bet those kids had a great day.

It would appear not

Lu Kee Wan: “the only thing deeper than that cave we were stuck in was Manchester’s defence"

Ner Lee Die: “we wanted the ground to open up and swallow us and I never thought I’d say that again"

Res Ku Mee: “We met José and told him that since the cave incident, we were all suffering from insomnia. It was very good of him to help us"

Tayk Mei Hom: “We didn’t like Fred. We’ve seen better control of balls in Bangkok"

Lay Dee Bouy: “We thought we’d seen the best divers in the world but that was until we’d seen Martial"

I think you maybe referring to Elon Musk and his submarine which was rejected because it was no more than a publicity stunt.

Usain Bolt ran the 100m in less time than it took Paul Pogba to 'run up' for his penalty.

Every fucking thing that daft twat Pogba does is a " look at me " episode.

More like a fucking circus act than a real footballer.

At the right club for it mind .

Just a shame he scored the rebound and they won the game. Would have looked a bigger tit had he of cost them. Surprised Jose defended it too.
