Very sad that 5 people lost their lives, but it could have been a whole lot worse.

The pilot probably had little or no choice where the pilot put it down; just lucky that car park was empty. The aircraft wouldn't have had enough forward speed to overcome the torque of the rotor blades if the tail rotor or engine(s) failed, and it certainly didn't have the height to be able to generate enough forward motion to create the aerodynamic forces to negate or reduce the torque enough to regain an element of control.

The transition between the hover to forward flight is the most critical part of the flight envelope in helicopter flight, and it appears this is where it went wrong. It would be remiss to speculate as the the exact cause of the accident, although we can pretty much discount the weather. I'm sure the AAIB will release their findings in due course.

It is Dan Roan and what a prick he is hopefully the BBC sake the vile ××××
 
His wife and son are with the players laying a wreath with the fans ones,shows how connected the family are to the club,i would be locked away crying somewhere,it's heart wrenching to see it
