But they do take it as read. Some scummy paper mentions it and all the others and media just repeat and repeat. When the question is asked of City supporters , what do you think of Sterling getting £300k a week why don't they respond with its a made up figure by the press/media.

It disappointed me a litle to hear Cheesy quoting it on his vlog. I know he said reported to be but he repeated it which is just part of making Joe average believe it. Really annoying.

Do you mean he gets more than £300 ? Buzzer was as good as Raheem and used to play for £35 a week (£10 in the summer) and a satsuma at half time.

It's not a problem, I just tell them i really hope he gets £300k a week because if he does then we will have been winning the League and Champions League while he is picking up the Ballon'Dor. I also remind them that he is going to be the highest paid English player in the premier league. I say this as he still won't be the highest paid player in the league as that honour is already taken by a certain Alexis Sanchez.
If you ask them who they would rather have in their squad for the next 4 then tend to back track a little :)

Was listening to talkSPORT last week when they brought this up, co presenter mentioned sterling’s £300k p/week wages, & Brazil piped up with ‘Ive been told it’s not that much, it’s about £180k p/week + bonuses’. But when talking about it later, he used the £300k p/week figure!!!
