Apparantly Alexis Sanchez's £300k + £200k in add-ons is causing Utd all sorts of problems trying to tie down other Utd players to new deals. What a surprise.
Stories in Express, Star, Mirror and other raggie news outlets.

Don't see the problem, all their players are clearly overpaid , with the possible exception of De Gea who keeps the shower of shite in so many fucking games.

Sergio's arse is actually better looking than him in that picture!

This is going to be a really interesting Derby, Given that the Rags tend to start games very slowly and defending deep before opening up in the second half.
It would appear to play right into our hands, The one thing that is absolutlely clear is that we need to be clinical when the chances arise, no fucking about.

If that isn't paranoia then I don't know what is.

I think other fans gripes with Fernandinho is how long it takes him to get a yellow card if he does at all. No foul warrants a red card of course but the sheer number of times he fouls you'd think he would get booked even just from a totting up basis. I watch it closely because most games if I build any bets involving City i throw in a Fernandinho booking because it should be a given. I notice it more with him but I think across the board a lot of defensive midfielders get a lot more leeway from early bookings because of their position and their role involving being involved in a lot more fouls/free kicks I can only presume. Players like Matic and Kante are similar.

Last year United were pretty defensively sound, if you consider we should have been 5 up at half time last year, now they are a shambles at the back we need to be ruthless. We have more than enough to punish them and on paper we should batter them. Lets not forget though when we was shit we would turn up against United when they was the best team in the league, even though they are now shite we still need to be cautious and not become arrogant twats like them.

You do know that Fernandinho has committed just 17 fouls in 11 Premier League games.

Don’t be falling for the myth.

We make the least fouls of any team in the league, and have one of the highest bookings per foul ratio.

Yesterday the Saints fans were doing that ironic cheer thing when the ref gave them a foul, implying they weren’t getting any fouls, it was just daft. The ref awarded them 14 fouls to our 9.

We are also one of the least fouled teams in the league, considering we average over 70% possession I think that highlights that we’re not getting the protection we deserve.

We are ‘getting away’ with nothing.
Stats simply don’t back up this latest load of bullshit,

Hughes the cheeky c#%t even referenced it in his pre match.

Of course the retort will be that we could the least but our fouls are ott and deserve a booking

I'm not falling for any myth. I watch us every week and a lot of them times I have him to be booked so I watch him even closer. There are times the foul isn't given so I wouldn't go to stats but a lot of his fouls are cynical and yellow cards in their own right. Some are just fouls but the kind of tackles especially the ones to stop a counter attack are yellow card offences. He isn't alone, it seems to be a defensive midfielder thing.

Stats don't tell a story, feel free to watch games rather than be numbers obsessed. We have the ball and most teams sit deep just trying to make it hard to break down rather than try and tackle and foul us. The second they have the ball we try and win it back quicker and high up the pitch, sometimes brilliantly, sometimes we foul them. It is the way we play which means we foul more. Doesn't make us dirty, just shows how hard we try and get the ball back when it's lost rather than other teams who are happy to just sit. I don't even think we are getting away with anything, when we foul the ref will give the free kick, what I was trying to say in my first post is how many Fernandinho gets away with, Liverpool this season is your best example.

Ferdandinho doesn't get away with any more than anyone else, Paul Scholes got away with more and more dangerous challenges, as do many other players playing for other sides, how many times do we get fouled on quick break aways, last season was a classic for it, we were lucky Sane and Debryne didn,t have season ending injuries that didn,t get the punishmment they should have, and how many times does Pogba pull players back without punishment?

So when I added he isn't alone what lead you then to quote a list of other players getting away with stuff?

Think the difference is fernandinhios "fouls" are mostly an attempt to get the ball. Using the Liverpool match as an example, their players deliberately behave like thugs and couldn't care less if they broke a leg or 2. Infact I'd go so far as to say they look like thats what they are attempting to do on occasion. We may commit nigly fouls but other teams tackles on our players actually could end someone's career.

That’s your opinion, I don’t agree and not do the statistics.

My opinion is, we are actually harshly punished for the relatively few fouls we commit. We certainly don’t get away with it.

This is my opinion having watched every single game for the past 30+ years of my life.
It’s also backed up by the statistics.

You have sadly bought into the myth, no matter what you say.

All these fouls Fernandinho is getting away with, he’s only made 17 fouls all season.

Again you are pedalling stats when it suits. I haven't bought into anything, I watch a game and judge I don't go home and check numbers, that's just odd. Ok then the stats suggest we foul more than the other team will you accept them stats then? No course you wont because it doesn't support your view.

That is where it could be seen as being biased where you think our players are all angels and try and play the ball every time with every foul on us being the opposite. I don't think that's the case but we are on the end of some bad fouls which I will give you. Niggly fouls are still fouls though and if you commit many niggly fouls they have to end up as a yellow eventually. How many times do we watch a game and if a player on the other team commits foul after foul do we shout "how many times ref". Again this isn't just Fernandinho, many teams have that player.

Make your mind up, Tom. :)

Do try and keep up you sais
" I don't even think we are getting away with anything, when we foul the ref will give the free kick, what I was trying to say in my first post is how many Fernandinho gets away with,"
