Football Leaks/Der Spiegel articles

I don't doubt that there's a bit of paranoia here, but to be fair when you read those first 2 Spiegel articles, you'd be forgiven for thinking that a bitter United fan had penned them with some of the jibes being chucked about - it's like someone has sent them that Citeh Bingo graphic and they've picked a load of phrases out, and they're not even making an attempt to hide it either. I'd have a bit more time for Spiegel if they'd written it in a mature manner, left out the digs, and didn't laughably use Uli Hoeness as a barometer for financial morality! Otherwise, it just sounds like a rant from a bitter opposition fan with a fair chunk of casual racism chucked in for good measure.
The problem is not so much the Spiegel articles as the credibility given by the one-sided way the story is being covered by the BBC and more serious media organisations. The UK media are not interested in the FFP scam story. Apart from a few exceptions most UK journalists have produced overly-negative coverage of City's development under our new owners. They can't criticise what we are doing on the field (apart from fake tactical fouls) but they have chosen to mostly ignore what our owners have done in Manchester.
I am not saying there is a media conspiracy but there is commercial bias. Slaughtering City provides a big audience (driven by United and Liverpool fans and everyone else who is jealous of our success) The UK media has a lot to gain by kicking City.

Well at least people can have a reminder of that typical City feeling, albeit seeing the club taking a beating in a different way.

I’d say, given our growth and continued success, they’ve got more to gain by sticking with us.

Yep, every question to him to discuss mitigating circumstances met with an almost child like rebuttal, no reason just, if Uefa want to ban them they can. Asked about City fighting it in court, no answer whatsoever. You can image most of the UK hacks messaging each other encouraging them to get on the bandwagon, fucking wankers.
