Guardian match report headline is a disgrace. Mentioned the controversial penalty even though it's just a footnote in a match we clearly dominated and scored five other legit goals not too mention other penalties not given.

Plus the headline for rags like they had brilliant comeback effort but in actual fact they were dominated by juve. If not for poor finishing by juve should have been thrashed but got lucky in the dying mins of the game when juve went too defensive and an lucky own goal.

Guardian is starting to let me down. Glad I stopped donating to them this year.

I stopped reading the grauniad when they left Manchester.

I couldn't afford to go tonight so I had to watch on BT sport 3. We had Richard Dunne and Steve McManatee as pundits. Dunny was a breath of fresh air, McManatee was complimentary through gritted fuckin' teeth! Boy does that Scouse **** begrudge us. His body language was a dead giveaway.

I'm going to send an email to BT sports tomorrow complaining about him being a pundit on our games.

I'd like Shaun Goater, Paul Lake Andy Hinchcliffe Mike Summerbee etc, proper ex City players I can respect the opinion of. Not some scouse charlatan who is only there for the dosh!

Was only there for the dosh when he played for us, that was a whole lot of pointing he did.

So true, i watched via tv last night and noticed the same, it was blatantly obvious that mcpointy scouse man was squirming inside as he sat their talking about our performance. His face, eyes and body language told the truth regardless of what he was saying - this idiot hates us. Why the fuck bt feel that we as City fans would want that prick on our panel alongside dunny is a mystery. Bt obviously doing it on purpose.

BT narrative has changed completely from the days of Ferdinand, Scholes and Owen doing our games so much so that I subscribe again. I had no problem with McMannaman last night. I do think you’re being a bit over sensitive. He was very complimentary to City, the fans and stuck up for Sterling.

We had justification for complaining previously but I think now it would be petty.

Quick edit, I normally like your posts so don't fall out with me blue!!!!

BBC Sport have had Darren Fletcher on to say the referee, Sterling and City should be embarrassed by the decision.

All the comments saying Sterling is a diving cheat.

I mean, we’ve entered a post reality world here in terms of City’s criticism in the press.

I don't like falling out with any blue if I can help mate so I'm not going to now.

But if you think McManatee ( I call him that as he's useless as a football pundit and eats fish; ) is ok then you probably don't read body language well mate. The Scouse **** was squirming inside whilst 'praising' us.

He's that false we blues should get a petition going to get him off TV covering our games.

Maybe Trump is a rag

BBC Sport news reporter covers the game.

They talk about the pen and how Sterling could have told the ref.

Female news reporter:

“That’s cheating isn’t it?”

There are 5 different City stories on the MailOnline with 4 about the penalty.

If only they’d been so interested in pen decisions when we’re at Anfield in Champs league.
Did any mention the Spurs penalty when it was awarded after hitting Sterling in the small of his back, or the handled ball by wolves for their goal, not least the all time classic try by Crouch for Stoke, or are we the only ones supposed to own up?

Neither did he dive nor ask for a pen. Pep told the 4th official. Between a ref, useless bloke behind the goal and 4th official they couldn’t get it right. It’s nothing to do with Sterling IMO.

The Telegraph is worse. 6-0 all the focus is on the pen.

The DT headlines for a selection of articles:

Front page of the Sports Section - IT'S MOURINHO TIME!
Page 2/3 - Mourinho's Best Ever Result Silences Ronaldo
Page 4/5 - City red-faced after Sterling penalty farce; Champions 'ignored warning' from senior staff over sponsorship deal; FFP furore focuses on pivotal rule of the game - but no one seems to care.

These are the usual kind of headlines that are churned out by the DT day in and day out.

The penalty, which I thought was a stoner at the time, was a piece of good fortune that doesn't come near making up for the number of penalties that have been denied us at The Swamp alone! And it is quite usual for us to be tarred with the good luck, and our misfortunes re reffing decisions are swept under the carpet and ne'er given a column inch in the RDAHMeedya. That penalty just shows the desperate need for another look at all decisions where a goal is scored and where a ref has a mind to award a penalty. Whether it would result in a better or more correct decision is not nailed on, however. We would be two points better off from the Wolves game for starters. And what possessed Crappenberg to award Haringey a pen when it hits a player's back. Viewed from every angle it would be clear to a fuckin' mole or bat that no hand or arm was involved.

The RagDipperArseHaringeyMeedya in full-throttle foaming mode because we get a decision! We need to lend them one of our epithets. They can be the Typical Media. I prefer the RDHAMeedya because it is clear where their 'loyalties' lie!

By the way, was anyone red faced after Kassai gave us the pen? I didn't see any red faces among the FOCs in CBL3. I suspect there was a profusion of red eyes in the BT studio and in the commentary box!
