Anthony Taylor (of Altrincham)

We all know how bad he has been Chelsea and Wigan.

He’s going to be hard on Sunday not to think he is against us, which hopefully should help get the crowd going.

I imagine first 50/50 that goes against us the crowd will be baying for blood and by law of averages we should have half of these go against us.

I’m going to try and watch it with fresh eyes to see if I think there is more in it.

I don’t believe refs are out to stop City, don’t believe the zorem don’t like us or we are as bad for business as people claim. I think the Prem must love having Pep, KDB, Aguero et. here. Yes, they will need a title race soon but at the moment a ‘Greatest ever side debate etc. is good.

The concern I have is his changing of mind followed by us getting a bad decision. Luiz whistle to mouth and than stops, Delph yellow card name wrote and than changes to red. The first you rarely is and the second I never have. It seems his automatic ref response gives the decision he normally would and than he realises it’s City and the United bias comes in.

What I remember about that Chelsea game 2 years ago & disgusted me more than the foul by Luiz on Aguero when clean through was there was an incident in the second half when David Silva had the ball near the corner flag with his back to goal. Silva was trying to manouever himself into a position whereby he could get himself in a position to deliver a ball into the Chelsea box or pass to a teammate. All the time the Chelsea player was up his backside mauling him, shirt pulling & generally manhandling him. Silva is that good that he can get himself out of these positions even when being constantly fouled. Taylor was stood a yard away watching this. Taylor didn't blow straight away & I presumed he knew Silva was that good that he would lose the Chelsea defender. When Siva loses the ball I thought he's got to blow for the foul now but he didn't. Silva through his arms in the air & looks at the bent bastard with a look of astonishment on his face. That passage of play proved to me beyond a shadow of doubt this guy is bent & anti City.

That would've been Azpilicueta. Who does nothing but kick and man handle.

Mike Dean isn't allowed to refs games involving Everton and Liverpool if I'm not mistaken.. The fact Taylor is allowed when it's obvious he has links to either Manchester clubs is a bit of a joke.

He won't be able to stop us on Sunday anyway.
Mike Dean...the LiverFool fan.
Lets go baaach. ...way baaaacch.Bournemouth v City(the game where some south coast defender tried to cut Jesus in two with a'tackle')..
This experienced impartial pigmol runner, showed Raheem the card.for celebration with us Blues...so he could not play against Liverpool at home..next match.Wow.Mr Dean.what a difference you made5nil.

He’ll let te rags midfield foul with impunity to break up play. He’ll also insist we wait for the whistle on every free kick to ruin our rhythm and make sure the rags defence is set.

Easy and less obvious way to impede us for Taylor.
Make sure he is in the way physically of our play in and around the box.
Also how he interprets the advantage rule if we are on the offensive. Giving the free kick stops our momentum.

Can't understand how someone who obviously loves football, went to school and grew up around Manchester, has no affinity to either club. 'He's a season ticket holder at Altrincham', they say.
When does he get time to watch their games?
I would also wager that 90% of Altrincham fans also support City or United and given where it is, more likely United.
PGMOL continue to allow the conjecture surrounding this guy refereeing Manchester teams. Madness

Via Blue Phantom yesterday, I found out Uniteds forum has an ‘agenda thread’. If hazard a guess, given the media coverage Taylor’s appointment has had, that their agenda thread will be in meltdown come 6:15 Sunday evening. Anything remotely given against us that’s dodgy will be scrutinised. If anything, he is going to have to be seen to be favoured towards us more than anything.

Problem is, it's always too late after the event. Keep thinking of Delphs Red Card at Wigan. Always looked like a hard winning tackle and at first sight, possibly a Yellow card, which he was going for.
To then change his mind and go for the other pocket? What kicked into his brain?

It's the subtle dark arts: breaking up play, early yellows for city players, numerous let offs for Utd players, delaying free kicks, soft free kicks, allowing time wasting etc that we will see - not the giving of outrageous penalties and sendings offs ( although I wouldn't put it past him!)

Yeah but the coverage the media has given this appointment is going to be telling. Dark arts, whatever it’s called, blatant decisions not being given or given against us, it’ll all be under scrutiny and if indeed Taylor does have tendencies to favour united (I think he’s just shit personally) well he won’t want to miss reffing them in the future. What can he do to ensure he gets them on his rota again? Make it look like he doesn’t favour them on Sunday.
