‘In time, Der Spiegel’s allegations about Manchester City will fall into that latter category. The accusations are still unproven and City have a right to the presumption of innocence, but the investigation was so detailed and so compelling that, for many, any legal challenge would be incidental.’

So the court of football365 has found us guilty already. Good job they don’t run our justice system.

I've certainly put an asterisk by your name Fred

Different in what way? Delle Alli is being hammered there for acting a c**t. They even use that word in quote from the person videoing it.
I don’t ever remember Sterling being called a c**t by any of the papers tbh.
It’s a nothing story but I fail to see how Sterling would’ve been reported any differently to this.
Because sterling isn’t a K@nt away from the game or you be guaranteed that it be reported.

Really good article, rings very true for our future unfortunately.

especially this bit:
But the cost will be in the perception and, realistically, that stands true irrespective of what happens next. Even, it should be noted, if every word printed is proven to be false and Der Spiegel are sued into oblivion. Post-2008, City have never been a popular club, a Goliath can never be a neutral’s favourite, but for a loud, sizeable majority, they will now be irreversibly tainted. For some, that will be by design, a confected mechanism designed to discredit future success. For others, it’ll be a quieter point of reflection – something that pops into their head after every flowing move and great goal they score, and a voice which will shout very loudly whenever trophies are held aloft.

it is an apology piece for the media.

Didn't enjoy reading that one moment.

Why do you care what anyone away from city as a club thinks? Who actually cares what Larry from Reading thinks if he’s too stupid to not form his own opinion?
I’ve never ever understood the obsession with what others think. When Chelsea first started to win stuff after their takeover and negative stuff was spouted about them, did you believe it or did you not care either way as your club is city? Who cares?!!

Football365 is no different to any of the betting sites/red tops offering agenda written articles. Links to planetfootball (the dailmail of football sites) all over the place. Used to be a bit of a go to for me for decent written articles and the media watch section was interesting. They then had to repeatedly included themselves in there critique of the media which answers for itself.
