I don't think Liverpool have it in them to come back once they fall away.

We've seen them have some shit performances, We've seen them lose in the CL, eventually they'll slip up a couple of times and then by the time its 8 points they'll be done.

They have improved definitely but I think it is squad depth where the difference kicks in. Injuries and suspensions will happen as the season progresses and I doubt that they will then keep pace.

Maybe but a lot of people said the same thing about Leicester.

This lot might not have our strength in depth or even a first 11 with our strength but I don’t think a few injuries is going to throw them off the chase. We just have to keep winning and break their spirits with a long stern chase.

You may be right, so we will have to see.

We will outlast them though, I am sure about that.

And Leicester didn't have the pressure of the huge expectations of their cult following either .

Listen back to this one ( 39.45 ) - Scots dipper saying they will win the league - then on 53min Lyndon an alleged blue dipper going on about us having no 'istree - clearly gets all his news from the Echo and thinks the world starts and stops at the west end of the M62 .....if we use his history analogy PNE and Accrington should be in the PL - after all history shows they were part of the first 1888/89 football league after all

Looking at their upcoming fixtures, they have another tough run coming up until they play us on January 3rd. Only exception is Newcastle at home. Games are virtually every 3 days with the exception of the week of rags and wolves as they are out of the league cup so will rest. Making this fixture list worse is the competitiveness of their CL meaning PSG and Napoli are more or less must win games.

PSG away
Everton home
Burnley away
Bournemouth away
Napoli home
Rags home
Wolves away
Newcastle home
Arsenal home
City away

This is when we’ll finally see the depth of their squad. The defense and front 3 have barely rotated so far with Klopp mostly rotating the midfield.

Our fixtures in that period are much more generous other than Chelsea away and we may even qualify early for the CL. I expect us to be at least 5 points ahead by the time we play them.
Indeed assuming we'll be on top by the game against them & I see no reason to doubt that, we can essentially 'win' the league beating them in January.

I can see us being 5/6 points ahead by the time we play them.

With De bruyne coming back, Sterling in top form and Leroy reaching his best form, Jesus’ recent hat trick might also mean he is rediscovering his form; Danilo back from injury so Walker can rest; I think we’ll be leading the league.

Must be gauling for a Dipper fan , they have their best team for donkeys years , a very good manager , spent hundreds of millions and they are breaking all their own club records and they arent even laying a glove on us , no wonder they despise Manchester , the Rags took the piss out of them for decades and now they have to play 2nd fiddle to us. Lovely

Plus the Manchester Ship Canal and Bridgewater Canal took commerce away from their city, to Manchester
