They'll be close this year, but just wait till next season - that's when they'll be unstoppable. They are becoming a force of nature tbh. I think most of us, deep down in our vitals, know there is a sense of destiny about this liverpool team, much as we don't like to acknowledge it.
It really is a question of when not if.

Lol. Klopp has this season at most before he starts to go stale or the likes of Mané and Salah decide their chances are better elsewhere. Shit or bust time.

How long have they got ?

How long is his contract Colin? I cant recall how long brendon got, and his teeth were up there with jurgens, so maybe that should be the benchmark.
Klopp's contract is until 2022.
Bodgers' Liverpool contract will be up in May I think, along with Moyes' contract at the rags.

A force of nature that isn’t as forceful as Manchester City.

Over on RAWK they think going deep in the CL made them drop out of the title race last season, how many points were they behind us at Christmas again? 20?

The title race was lost right about now, and it had nothing to do with CL. Even if you take the best two months of last season, Liverpool were barely even with City.

Although dropping loss of points in the end of the season was at least partly due to resting players for PL.

nope Europa league will do nicely. Humiliating and Thu night trips to Never Never Land

Exactly and they won’t be able to play the reserves and go out as it is a competition they have the best chance in winning. Playing on Thursday would hurt them more actually.

I don’t agree. They’d make upwards of 7 changes for those matches and would be better rested for the League. All top managers enjoy having good opportunities to start the guys they have no real intention of starting in the league.

Exactly this. Klopp's been there three years now and won the sum total of Jack shit, apart from three losers medals,
if that record continues this season, and personally I think it will, then the shine will start to wear off rapidly.
So you're right, it's shit or bust time this season, not next, or the next one after, he must win something now.

The cracks are starting to show. the result on Saturday they flattered to deceive but its only December and they are starting to just get over the line in games.
I think United will be the first team to beat them on the day. once they get that fist loss they'll lose that edge, like they have done in the champions league.

We'll also stuff them at home, they've a very demanding game at arsenal three days before.

So you’re saying they would throw away the Europa league despite not winning a trophy in how many years now? And spending record breaking amounts of money? They’re already out of the league cup.

The club itself and media would pressure Liverpool to try to win it. They might make some changes of course but I don’t see them playing a majority reserve team and risk going out of another competition. Van Dijk also said they want to win it all ;)
