Mate if your going to make a big deal of this you need to reread this part of the thread. it wasn't Karen criticising the article in the first place it was me. I think if City are going to update an article then less than 23 hours before kick off is leaving it a bit late.
 
One or 2 posters have been saying the champions league is boring.
I don't agree in past seasons they have been some great games.
And this season all the games have been good , even the Lyon home game just the wrong result.
Going for a 1-3 win tomm.

Are you fiftyyearsandcounting then as well? Page 2. It was Karen that first spoke to me about it.
 
Tricky game against a good side. Would take a draw considering the injuries we have. Interesting to see if Pep will play Foden, he could play Mahrez in Bernardo's position but I would give Phil a start.
 
Not having a great deal of luck with injuries this season are we? KDB (twice) and now Bernie Silva, Gabriel Jesus and Ilkay Gundogan with slight knocks, with Benjamin Mendy and Claudio Bravo long term.

I'm sure we have enough to deal with Lyon, but hope we have Silva, Jesus and Gundogan back for the weekend, and KDB for Chelsea.
 
Cant say i am enamoured with the Champs league , UEFA have been underhanded with their treatment of our club which has been well documented on this forum , they have put obstacles in the way that the established G14 clubs have never had to deal with . But we have been regulars in the competition for a few years and no matter what the hierarchy say at our club , Pep was brought in to win the Champs league , and with the decline of Real , Bayern and to some extent Barca we will never have a better chance. The only club i really fear over two legs are Juventus , so we need to win this group to avoid any chance of playing them , we have a few injuries so we will not be at full strength and a draw would be acceptable , we will have injured players returning for the Hoffenheim game , so one game at a time , avoid a defeat and win the group and i firmly believe in typical Scouse fashion .............this is our year

I think pep was hired because he is the best manager/coach
 
Lyon have released their squad list for the Manchester City game. Nabil Fekir is included amid injury doubts, while Léo Dubois (in recovery) and Amine Gouiri (injured) are left out.

Well, I guess this is the moment for Phil. I’d be perplexed if he doesn’t start.

To anyone who watches Lyon, on a scale of 1 to 10, how important are those two players missing out?
