You really are. The details of the match, which you have listed, rarely if ever get given in mitigation. Anyway we qualified which is what is important.

You are correct the sports coverage is pretty poor on Granada. Here is a more accurate version which as they are supposed to be supporting our local sides would have been more appropriate.

" Both City and United qualified for the knockout stages of the champions league last night. United grabbed a dramatic late win against Young Boys while City as good as secured top spot in their group with a credible 2-2 draw away at Lyon."

Never happen. Which Blue Moon have you been living on? :)

The day when "news" was just that has passed.
All of them give us "views of news" to ensure they do not offend their hardcore of subscribers.

Even at that, and I agree that mitigation is rarely given, 'a well earned point', 'got the point needed' or simply 'City drew away in Lyon' is all that's required but they do what they always do, find the negative slant.

Yes it probably could have been better written but its hardly offensive and an example of people looking for slights.

United qualified for the last 32 but there hardly being lauded for that achievement. Its the way the world works.

"In the end this was a fine draw for Manchester City considering how Maxwel Cornet’s second goal nine minutes from time appeared to have grabbed the win only for Sergio Agüero to equalise almost instantly."

Jackson's first sentence offends my eyes. I think his piece has bee edited since original posting, but he didn't see anything positive apparently (the 'rare corner' line is excellent ignorance of the facts).

If it was a one off mate it would be water off a duck's back but it's any opportunity they can get, not that it bothers me much as I'm used to it, but let's recognise it for what it is.

I just cannot help but think its an opinion though shared by most fanbases, that the media dont like them, and that could be based on being sensitised by articles written about your club.

I work with people who refer to Saint Pep, and how they think he is ridiculously lauded etc.

In certain quarters he is, no doubt, but at the Beeb they just don't like City, naturally enough given their social media team is largely made up of United fans.

I do love the 'rare corner' line. Not that corners matter but it was one of the few areas where we actually came out on top. Other than total shots, shots on target and possession of the ball, obviously........

What I also love about City not doing that well, occassionally, is that it gives all the other sides 'the blueprint' on how to beat us or not get beaten by us. Dippers showed everyone in February, rags in April, Wolves in the autumn and now Lyon have done it twice. All the games were on the tv so, now we have been so cruelly exposed, and I fully expect us to struggle to win another game all season!!

Yes I listened to the esteemed Neil ****is this morning, The Manchester Correspondent for what some people term a Newspaper. What a balanced coverage this man conveys. I think you may worked with him at Wonkas-)
