In the grand scheme of things with the cash cow that is the yearly group stage income of the champions league that was a disaster for the rags. There are immediately 5 better teams in the Premier league that will finish above United and Jose knows it. They wont win the champions league so the only other realistic way to qualify is to back door it through the Europa, probably why Jose was chucking things around last night he knows barring a footballing miracle of lifting the champions league or them getting 4th he is a dead man walking and the rag board now have the excuse to do it in May.

At this point United aren’t even good enough to win the Europa League.
