Laporte, Sterling and Fernandinho are crucial to the way we play and I suspect Pep may take the gamble to rest them.
Heartbreaking that whenever I try to pick a team i find it harder and harder to find a justification for Kompany's inclusion.

I don't think Pep will be resting anyone mate, we need to win this game, then he will think about the Chelsea game Wednesday onwards, that's how he works, no easy games in the league.

Can you apply that to this season? How many games has Gabby been used in an attempt to ‘change the game’? We’ve been behind for about 7 minutes all season.

I'm not sure where he'll play along the front line but think Mahrez will start. Could also see Gundogan in midfield and/or Otamendi playing (with Laporte getting a rest)

Any sub is brought on to change the game or see it out by getting another goal as in the last one,we don't have to be behind

You’re really reaching here aren’t you? Jesus’s goal record is better than most, our win record with him playing is extraordinary.

If you don’t understand why being a sub in this current City is likely going to affect goals, then there’s not much to say.

There’s zero reason to have any concerns with Jesus starting. Not in terms of history any way.

His goal record in the prem this season is 1,i said hours ago he needs to start scoring,it hardly warranted hours of debate

And I agreed, to start scoring, he needs to be playing games.

For some reason, you don’t seem to except this.
 
Tricky game added with that aguero may not play,couldn’t care if we win 1-0 with an og, posted in the Bournemouth thread I think, that as we hit this busy period of games it’s more important to get the results than how we perform to an extent,Chelsea play away at wolves (I think ) weds night so an extra days recovery for us before Saturday evenings game ...
 
We have come to that stage in the league where starting eleven predictions can be a lot more tricky.

It will be a tricky game. They all are when you play every 3 days. Merlin needs to play if Sergio is out. I would even consider playing Sterling centrally, flanked by Sane snd Mahrez.
 
It’s a nightmare for fantasy football at the moment. I’ve taken Aguero out, but fuck knows what I’m to do with Sterling and Silva. Could easily be Mahrez and Sané starting, and Gundogan and Bernardo over David! Might have to change my approach!

With Mendy out I think Sané will play more often than not - at least he better do as I’ve just put him in!!!!

Merlin bound to play after sitting out most of Saturday
 
All I know is Ederson will play. But again it seems not that important as every squad player seems to easily fit in any position.

Last years’ 6-0 won’t be on the scoreboard I guess. And December / January games are all about scraping points together. So let the beautiful game be what it is for a while. This one will be tough enough as it is. Watford are a decent side with some unpredictable players that can hurt you anytime. We need to step up from Saturdays performance surely and I think we can and will. Confident of the three points, not so much of a smooth ride through the 90plus minutes.
