Some poor performers (Walker, Otamendi, Mahrez) but it was a disjointed side.

Some good performances from the young lads. For a 17 year old, Garcia looked good. Be very interesting to see this lad develop. Diaz started excellently but faded badly with every minute and Foden was decent. Muric, Jesus and Zinchenko won us the shootout.

Kun did absolutely nothing but the minutes would have done him good. Kev looked tired second half but his goal was proper world class and same for him regarding the minutes.

Agree with most of that, except for Diaz. I thought he was poor. Played with his head down and dribbled into trouble continually. Foden was light years ahead of him. Walker was poor too, but they were both eclipsed by Mahrez. Ponced around with his gloves on and did little but give the ball away either via sloppy passes or lightweight dribbles. Decent from Garcia, but not tested unduly. Cool by Muric in the shoot out, standing his ground and putting the pressure on the taker. Overall, decent 1st half, pretty dismal 2nd half

You’re very right on Mahrez pal. Is he any better than Roberts or his replacement at Leicester, Maddison? To think Sancho could’ve stayed and we wouldn’t have wasted £60m on him. He’s nowhere near explosive enough for a top class winger.

17yo and looking like he easily belonged and playing alongside 3 other defenders you ear marked as poor tonight, he was outstanding for me and very much in the mould that Pep wants a centre half.

He was better than Otamendi and that's for sure.
