I don't remember him is he related to peter too ?Jasper Schmeichel was in goal for us.
Oh ffs.
No.
He moves into midfield.
Wow. I never knew.
He still has to defend af fullback.
Did you miss the bit where he was stood watching the moon as the ball sailed over his head for Leicester to score ? No ?
Then plesse don't make me out to be an idiot for mentioning thaf he's a fullback.
He is a midfielder who covers the LB position when we are forced to defend our left wing. On their goal, he was covering the LB position and got caught out. Never argued that, but to suddenly LABEL him as a LB, just because in Pep’s scheme he has converted numerous midfielders into covering the FB positions.
Have you been drinking tonight Neville? You seem very lively.
God I hate spell checkers !I don't remember him is he related to peter too ?
Don’t forget this time last year we hadn’t won a trophy under Pep and we were on a massive high with our run of wins in the league.Strange one that. There were times in the second half when I'm not even sure we were even that bothered about winning it. I know Guardiola makes the same noises as Pellegrini used to about taking each game as it comes and doing everything to win it (which is a little hard to square with the starting selection), but even at the end, there was almost an air of 'oh well, another round' about the celebration. It was certainly in stark contrast to the euphoria last season, albeit the circumstances then were rather different. I just wonder if, knowing what happened last season and the toll it takes, he'd have stomached going out on penalties tonight if it meant saving energy for the bigger prizes.
Anyway, Burton or Bournemouth, please.
No.
I just don't understand why making an obvious point, that our fullback isn't good enough, is so fraught with difficulty, when it's so obviously true
Zinc is technically good but quite apart from maybe having to learn positionally how to play LB, he just isn’t quick enough.No.

Ok fair do’s. I agree that putting him in there against a decent high tempo midfield could end badly for us
Me too, I'm usually guilty.God I hate spell checkers !
He's not a real full back though is he? He's a midfielder who gets asked to play at full back and then moves into midfield as per instructions because we are short in that department. It's like saying Sane/ Sterling are forwards. They play there when requested but it's not their first position. Sure Pep is molding him, or trying to, but it's not a position that seems natural to him.
So you are right, he's not good enough at full back.
And others are right in saying he's not a full back.

We didn't "look shit all match", we totally dominated for an hour, better finishing would have seen us well ahead.I think it's the biggest reason we looked shit all match.

Now what’s Walker’s excuse. Because the only reason he’s playing RB is he’s quick.
In my view Zinc is a squad player and I’m glad he stayed, but he’s no more of a liability than Walker who constantly gives the ball away and hasn’t much technique as far I can see.

A definite free kick not given, was outside the box though.Absolute stonewaller when Ice Cube brought Jesus down on 85 mins. The ref is a cheating ****.

This season feels very different. There isn’t that pressure of the need to win something and there’s actually a title race this season.
I reckon tonight was more about getting the young lads, de Bruyne and Kun minutes for Pep than it was the win. I don’t think he’d have minded going out tonight that much at all. Maybe even less so if we’d got a tougher CL draw in the week of the final.
