I reckon he’ll go:
............ Ederson
KW..Kompany...AL...Danilo
.........Fernandinho
.......KDB.........Dave
Bernardo...Aguero...Sané

I think the team pretty much picks itself, except for right wing.

Personally I’d probably go attacking and play Sterling, really try to stretch them and open them up.

But I think Pep will probably play Bernado to give us an extra man in midfield to really exert our authority in there as he likes to do.

Win this and we will do ourselves a huge amount of good both on and off the field
Klopp is worried you can tell by his bluster.

Who do the Utd fans want to Win? (I imagine us to stop lolerpool from getting another title?)

couldn't you be arsed writing walker and laporte hahsha

Assuming that KDB is fit:

Ederson
Walker - Stones - Laporte - Zinchenko
Fernandinho -KDB
D.Silva
Sterling - Kun - Sane

Take a shot every time Sky shows the 'Salah lob', and you'll be too pissed to even care about the match.

I wonder how many of the outrageously bad refereeing decisions in last season’s Champions League games Sky will show in the build up.
My guess - none

Ok, so I’m thinking......

..........Ederson.........
KW.........................Danilo
.....Stones...Laporte...........
........Fernandinho..............
...Silva D..........KDB............
Silva B......Aguero..........Sane

A case could well be made to include Kompany ahead of Stones, just thinking the younger man in Stones may be more mobile and adept and dealing with those runs in behind from the likes of Salah and Sane. Defensively we have to be aware of the threat Liverpool offer on the break and whether it’s Zinchenko or Delph at left-back we look like we can be exposed in that area. Just hoping Danilo will offer us a bit more defensive nous.

The other contentious selection could be Bernardo on the right, I do think he’s been one of our best players this season and has to be included, on the right he can join up in the middle to give us control there, can tuck inside and allow the marauding Walker on his outside and he has an excellent work ethic to get back and add numbers. Walker may have been off the boil of late but he’s top full back and his pace could be vital.

Sane has had a couple of quiet games when he’s directly up against Alexander-Arnold, so a case could be made to include Sterling or Maher’s ahead of him, but I’d like to give Sane first chance at stretching this Liverpool side.

We have to be first to all those second balls and loose passes, I think that will be crucial to stopping their counter attack. Big ask, but the ref needs to give us some free kicks and card their players, because no doubt they will look to unsettle our creatives. Robertson shouldn't be playing this game anyway, I feel he should have been sent off v Arsenal. Hey ho, maybe tonight all our ducks will be lined up and it all clicks. City 2-1 Liverpool

The moment Mendy got hurt Delph was playing left back again this season but he looked terrible & was making mistake after mistake. Then he put Zinchenko in who looked just as uncomfortable & he got caught out, Delph went back in against Leicester & lost us the game he was to blame for both goals. Zinchenko isn't brilliant at left back but he doesn't make as many mistakes as Delph there.

He needs consistency. Keeping on swapping over in that position is risky.

Delph should have been left to play himself back into form. We know he can play that position already after last season.

It may be a controversial idea, but if I was Pep, I would tell City to target Van Dijk.

By that I mean make absolutely sure he never wins a header in our box, but moreso, press the shit out of him.

I was saying we should sign him, years ago, from Celtic, but had we done so, I would also have been wary of his weaknesses, one of which is that he's nowhere near as cool as he appears.

Teams are looking at him as being imperious & target his partners instead. He gets a free ride.

We should go for his fucking throat. If his arse or his head goes, as it did from time to time at Celtic, it would undermine their whole season, & his.

The build up to this feels a lot like the Leicester City game in February 2016, where it was win and be back in the title race, lose and it's over.

I know it's a very different (and much better) team, but so are Liverpool, and I just don't see us winning.

I really hope I'm wrong though and Pep & co. make me look like an idiot for ever doubting them.

That’s the first time I’ve seen you wobble this year....

Remember being a blue comes with being inherently blind to competitors, it’s the only way to be

We win this with a deflected one two off of Van dick and Allison

2-1 and game on!!

Treat it like a cup game and go for the throat from kick off.

I want to see us put an all or nothing performance on tonight and shut these premature ejaculation specialists up good and proper...

I’m not entirely sure that Van Dijk is the one I’d like us to target. While he may have the odd wobble, he is invariably pretty cool on the ball. Let’s play the percentages and look at really getting at Lovren, he has to be the weakest point of Liverpool’s back four.
