Only we can take the cup seriously (remember the stick we got by throwing the Chelsea FA Cup game due to playing a weak team) win 9-0 and get called disrespectful. These people like Ogden seriously need to be banned from the ground, negative after negative.

We were very respectful to Burton in naming the team we played. And playing to score goals. If we started to do step overs, passes for the sake of passes and took our foot off the gas and said thats enough, now that would be very disrespectful. But those who have moaned on social media probably do not even know the meaning of the word Respect, they certainly have never given us any. Listen to the Burton fans before the game, they knew they would get beat but it was the occasion for them. A Semi Final against one of the best teams in the world and at the sort of stadium they could only dream about, and the Burton players playing against the likes of Silva, De Bryne, they would have loved it despite the score.

Wonder why none of them moaning on social media had any issues with Spurs winning 7-0 away to Tranmere recently, or i cannot recall Utd fans moaning when they beat Ipswich 9-0 in the PL, saying they should have stopped at 5 or 6. Or when Spurs beat Wigan 9-1 or Liverpool beating Fulham 10-0.
But hey, its City. This is not allowed. Probably be calls now for teams who are 6 up to be capped at 6 if they score more goals as its not fair on the opposition. Its never been a problem before but like lots of things in football, if we do it, its not fair and rules need to be changed.

Its jealousy, pure and simple.

The one thing that the media have glossed over and we should be concerned about is how VAR did not give us a penalty last night. One of the papers is leading with VAR controversy but all about Kane, nothing about last nights fiasco. How a PL ref can watch that and say no penalty on Var is worrying.

Still trying to get my head round Ogden's "etiquette" claim. Apart from the fact that such "etiquette" only exists, or has ever existed, in his fetidly biased brain, what do you do in game over two legs ? Stop at 4 in the first leg and then pass it around in the second leg trying desperately not to score or stop at 2 in the first leg and then take your chances in the second leg away.

The guy's gone mad with jealousy.

He knows what he is doing! It seems to stay in a job in the media you have to be a troll to get your clicks in social media thats what the papers want they dont give a shit about anything else and why I stop following the majority of them.

I'm expecting a mid-competition rule change that knocks teams out for scoring more than eight!

Nobody complained when Arbroath beat Bon Accord 36-0.

I refuse to accept that any other club would have been criticised (now or in the past) for being disrespectful for scoring nine goals in a game. The fact the likes of Ogden feel they can about City, is telling of itself. Like there is less of a reality-check filter in relation to City, because the bar as to what you can get away with is lower.

It’s like the media’s disposition towards Liverpool (who they are shamefully frightened of) in reverse. Can anyone seriously imagine a well-known journalist having the balls to tweet that about Liverpool? Not a fucking chance.

Ah yes....Andrew Goldstein..our little cockney Rag..clearly has had a couple of pints of Bitter before the show

One brilliant Blue put him in his place by explaining why City owed it to their old long suffering fans by getting results like last night. When Goldstein interrupted (as he usually does when a City fan makes a valid point) the fan talked over him saying “let me finish Andy, you’re like a bad comedian with a mike”. It was a beautiful put down & left gobby Goldstein speechless for several minutes.
Liked Stuart Pearce’s comments today - it was up to Burton to stop us scoring - not for our players to stop trying.

Happy Days Blues
