One of Traore’s biggest problems—as is the case with most players with considerable natural ability that cannot perform at the top level—is that his actions are nearly always reactionary, rather than anticipatory, whether defending or attacking.If he had a brain he'd be nicking that ball as Sané beat the full back, but he's 6/7 yards away from where he needs to be.
It is why he has so much trouble with his end product; he’s reacting to the defenders and the situation, rather than envisioning what they and his teammates will do so he can formulate and execute a plan suitable for the scenario at hand.
It’s the difference between Dinho and Fred, David and Bernard, Sane and Zaha.
