Scored a cracker against the argies only to be dubiously disallowed. If I remember correctly for England
Because he was said to have climbed on another players back ..to reach a header....but the player was his own team mate!
No foul...but ref disallowed...still dont understand that decision.

He did say by the time he retired which is true. He was fat, slow and starting to concentrate on politics
Lots of folk arent at their best by the time they retire esp after a long
career in football...so whats your point?

Ronaldo(brazilian) Maradona Rooney....any different
He might be a bit up himself...so was Big Mal and he went from the sublime to the ridiculous in management terms..but those of us who were there sang his name loud and clear at Blackpool away, the week he died...
Campbell was a great defender .solid, great tackler, very good in the air, very calm under pressure and with pace to burn...and a fantastic reader of the game.deserves a bit more respect from some on here..if they really understand their football.never let england down ..80 odd caps says it all
So what if he put a few pounds towards the end.....??
Best of luck to the lad in management.hope he shuts a few folk up. Good on you Sol.

I always thought it was Shearer jumping up with his elbows impeding the goalkeeper

If true no one should have to put up with racist or homophobia at any time. I too am warming to him and hope he continues to do well at Macc. It will be great if he manages to keep them up and if he does it could be a good stepping stone for a bigger club with more resources

Is Sol Campbell being given a rough time or does he play the race card cos he's a total twat and that's the real reason most clubs wouldn't touch him with a bargepole

One game to go and Macc are one point from safety.
Should be tasty next weekend. Macc at home to Cambridge who are three points ahead and on the same goal difference.
However, a draw will be enough as Notts County are two points behind with a minus eight goal difference compared to Macc and Notts are away at Swindon. Be a shame to see Notts County go down but that's the way it is.

Good away win at nearby Port Vale today for Macc, a friend told me it was kicking off on the train on the way back as Stockport were returning from Nuneaton.
