What about when we beat them in the semi final of the league Cup, Can't remember the away score but we beat them 4-0 at home.

That was 1976.

We’ve lost a lot more against them than we’ve won in the years since, including in 2003, when they didn’t have a shot on target.

We play Schalke away on the Wednesday after this cup tie so hopefully TV companies will see sense and either leave us off TV so we play at 3 or put us on Saturday lunchtime. No doubt they won’t give a fuck though and put us late Sunday evening when there are no trains back for the fans

Anyway after the viewing figures success last Friday, it’ll clearly be Chelsea on bbc1 Friday night to kick the weekend off..

Chelsea away at Malmo on Thursday so no chance Friday or Saturday. Monday night wouldn't surprise me if Chelsea want Sunday as play Malmo again the following Thursday

What an opportunity for an unfancied team to win FA Cup this year - even the possibility that there will only be one PL team in quarter-final! But really Wolves, Palace, Brighton should be targeting this as great chance to win something - as will we be of course.

I said this in another thread or maybe earlier in this one that if chelsea and united meet in the 5th, then thatll be one of them out, arsenal, liverpool and spurs. Itll be a nice day out for some club to wembley for the semis or final!

And I missed the home match because of all the bloody miners and the 3 day week. They played the second leg on a Wednesday afternoon and I had my mock O Levels, I was going to wag it but me mam would have killed me.

I remember wagging school to watch us play Coventry on a Wednesday afternoon, ran on the pitch with a few hundred more at the end, it was a mud bath my flares were a right mess.
