Yes, he went from being one of our best performers to absolutely horrific tonight.

He has a few not far behind him, though.
 
The race is over I think but we still have 3 trophies to fight for. Believe me if we will win the champions League no one will care about the league.
We can do it, we are the best team in Europe.

The worrying bit is we have a big squad and have given certain players plenty of rest but we still get crap like tonight and Palace at home. We don't deserve to win the title the dippers unfortunately do.

Story of our complacency. There is hope but this is poor. Poor substitution of Debruyne, it is easy to say that now but Debruyne isn't a rash player who would be prone to yellows that it would become a matter of risk to keep him on. Secondly Mahrez should have been brought in to instill some energy into largely lethargic display.
 
That performance shouldn’t be a big shock in all honesty. Huddersfield we were very similar, Southampton we were sloppy, Leicester awful, Chelsea we were ok but lacked our usual drive. We are getting far too comfortable and the intensity we had last year where we just blew teams away away from home just isn’t there. Far too many players way off their best and in all honesty pep looked like he was sulking the whole night and didn’t notice him once up on the sidelines barking at the players.
 
I look at us and at times think were amazing and then tonight look and think theres no way were good enough to win in europe

He shouldn’t have booked him but if he did say wait for my whistle he was right to disallow it. But booking him was ridiculous.

That said we didn’t do enough and Rafa has made our 4, 5, 6 nill bankers against the barcodes a thing of the past. He sets them up very well against our general game so fair fucks to the waiter.
 
That performance stunk the place out tonight. We were the same at Huddersfield but got away with it and we did improve 2nd half that time. The lack of a true leader on the pitch was so obvious tonight.

60m most expensive signing too.
 
However bad the goals we gave away, we also created close to Jack shit going forward - Dubravka barely had a shot to save.

Danilo and Walker were appalling.

Dave and Kev poor.

Wingers were superbly marshalled by their fullbacks.
 
You could see it coming all first half aswell, sounds wierd to say but we scored too early for our own good. We have the tendency of slowing down when we score and we couldn't pick it back up again. Was strange watching pep holding his face for the vast majority of the game, he knew exactly was was coming. Attitude stunk tonight.
 
At least we can focus on the cups and stop trying to chase Liverpool. That race is over and your kidding yourself if you think we have a chance.

The whole squad inc pep looked all over the place tonight and not for the first time this season.

Newcastle was poor it was our attitude and poor passing with no pace that cost us.

One of city’s worst performances for a long time especially attitude wise.

I will take 2nd, 2 cups and a good summer transfer period.

Head up blues. Let’s re group and take it out on the teams in the cup.
