Away tickets

I think solving Brexit would be easier than sorting out a fair away ticket system! Preswick Blue has got a harder job than Theresa May!

If Prestwich Blue delivers a deal that is acceptable to everyone then I think he should be put forward to work on establishing world peace.

Any deal Colin gets should be voted on by the people. #PeoplesVote

There has been a vote for City Matters reps so it would be a travesty if there was another one.....

Supporters of several other clubs believe our loyalty points system (in the current format) is the best they've heard of, apart from the Platinum aspect. Many don't agree with priority for SCs and corporates but accept corporates will always get some degree of priority.
Scrapping points for those who go to away games is ridiculous.

On the subject of the 18/25 ballot, which I am not against.
Will people go if their mates don't get one ?
I have Rag mates and unless they get at least two in their ballot they will not go, passing on the single ticket to someone else.

Our system is a lot fairer than Leeds’ where you can buy away game season cards.

I've been looking at how other clubs do it.

Rags have a ballot, with about 10% going to their hospitality members and about 80% going to season ticket holders. Depending on the game, 5-10% are kept by the club.
Liverpool do it on away games attended in the previous season. 12+ gets you to the top of the queue.

Arsenal use a similar system based on away games but it's done on current plus previous 2 years rather than just the previous year's, like Liverpool

Spurs & Chelsea use loyalty points, with both using differential points to reward different types of games. At Chelsea it's a fixed scale with home and away games counting. 1 for top 6 games & CL/EL knock-out stages, 3 for other PL games and 5 for domestic cup and Euro group stage games. All given for home and away and it's current season only so no carry-over of points.

Spurs depends on the distance generally but all top 6 games, plus other London ones (West Ham/Watford) are 1 point. Somewhere like Newcastle & Burnley would be 4 points. They use a current plus 4 previous years system. They currently give just under 10% to hospitality members but that's going up to 13% when they finally move to the new stadium. So compared to them and the rags the near 20% we give hospitality is well out of line.

I quite like Chelsea's.

Not got long before I have to disappear again but I've been looking at how other clubs do it.

Chelsea’s looks good but I also think there should be some sort of carry over as well. As many said a rolling points total that loses the oldest points. Also I liked SWP’s back’s version using ten years, but the total of ten years ago was only worth 10% of the original value, nine years ago 20% etc etc

the system is the system. I got my Wembley tickets today got nearly 23k points but had to wait till today to qualify as I am not in the league cup scheme. I didn't moan or screamed for change, I knew the rules before a ball was kicked. I accept the guys that did sign up (even with almost zero points) are in front of me.

if it aint broke...........and it isn't.

You didn’t moan or scream? You didn’t and don’t have too because you’ve got 23k points. You’re hardly putting yourself in a position where your going to struggle for tickets at this moment by not joining the cup scheme but you seem to be looking for some kind of recognition for the fact that you’ve dropped out of the scheme.

The system is broke, it gets manipulated from various angles and doing the less glamourous games no longer helps you catch up as it once did. There are more SC members than ever nowadays and we also treat those with a few quid better than most other teams in the country too.

You’d think a fellow blue like yourself would show a little empathy for regular match goers but no, you much prefer to tell your fellow supporter that they’re not supporting enough and should stop moaning. You’d have a totally different outlook I reckon if you were one of us nobody’s that aren’t loyal enough and had 15k points.

The system needs looking at, as does the amount of tickets we give to the corporates and any supporter who thinks it’s ok that tickets go in the hands of the new rich breed of fan ahead of genuine supporters needs to sort their heads out.

TWENTY PERCENT of our tickets go to corporate? Fuck me sideways I didn’t know it was that much. And someone said “if it ain’t broke”... it’s really fucking broken if that’s the case.
