The timing may be not so good, but if someone took your car for a test drive, agreed to buy it and then trashed it on the way to the bank, would you ask for the money ASAP?
Although like someone above mentioned, I assumed he would be insured by one of the clubs.

tbf if i was owed money from warmcock I'ld want it as well as hes hardly a trust worthy beacon of honestly. Cant remember wanting a side to get relegated as I do Cardiff.

This was always going to be an issue. I supose it depends on whether the paperwork was all signed as to whos player he was and whether Cardiff owe Nantes the money. Regardless it's still a very sad affair.

this could be an interesting one from an insurance perspective, don't know how it works but guess it's not a block policy for everyone on a clubs books, so each player insured individually? Nantes sell him and cancel their policy, Cardiff are a little slow on the uptake of theirs, after all he's not playing till weekend, what could possibly go wrong......

Fully understand Nantes wanting their fee, and imo the biggest cnut is the one that put this in the public domain
