Away tickets

I'd like to join one.....!! I'm just asking a straightforward question; there are many reasons (for normal supporters) as to why we don't seem to be able to get away tickets.

My comment wasn’t aimed at your post Neil.

I think these season cards are just a way the Club uses to shift value gold cards. Most will be available to all and a minority seem to be set aside for Supporters Clubs. They aren’t essential.

OK, makes sense, but the value gold seem to have no problem selling out.

Yes I thought the Value Golds would sell out. I guess City are trying to share them out across the fan base. It’s neither here nor there for me or our Branch
Are you Kevin Parker's love child or just his spokesman
Everything that comes out of your mouth is absolute bullshit are you deliberately trying to wind up people whose only access to a ticket is through the loyalty system.
All we are trying to do is ask questions and get answers to why it seems to be that our allocation keeps getting eroded and others are either maintaining or increasing their share of the tickets
And why do loyalty card holders have to adhere to rules set down by the club to qualify for a ticket yet supporters club members can jump over someone with more points.
Rather than you coming on with your glib comments it would be nice to have your boss answer some of these questions
One day this might effect you , because it certainly effects a he'll of a lot of fans on the system now

Pretty piss poor attack on a fellow Blue.

I reply because I’m not intimatidated by the anti Supporter Club lobby. Get in touch with Kevin Parker. I’m sure you will find him on Twitter.

Then the club need to ban those people who have misappropriated funds and branches should name and shame them

You're talking some big hitters, expose them and the whole thing comes down

There's no argument for SC getting an allocation. If the members all have points and have season cards then why can't they just get them on their own?

If you disagree with that then you're literally saying that fans with low points getting tickets over those with more points is okay

Why would letting supporters clubs have access to the value gold allocation be 'sharing them across the fan base'. ??The fan base is the fan base whether or not you are in a supporters club. In this instance its giving one group of fans a preferential treatment over another.

This thread is about away tickets. I was trying to help a fellow Bluemooner with a query. If you want a separate anti Supporters Club thread that’s up to you.

I know Tim of the Oak personally as I'm part of the same supporters club. Thought I'd come on and give my two pence worth as some people have been misinformed.

I know for a fact that our club only received 2 or 3 tickets for Newport, and they were distributed to a guy who lives down there so he could take his kids. If Tim was all about himself, then surely he'd have taken first pick on tickets for such a small allocation?

I can't comment on other supporters clubs and how they run as I've not seen it first hand, but Tim seems to be getting some undeserved flack on here. I know he has helped European blues join our group and helped them with tickets, albeit it for less sought after games. Which surely should be looked at as a positive, expanding our fanbase and connections in Europe in case blues ever needed the favour returning.

Personally, I tend to source my own tickets for away games through my own points, as I do feel guilty if I was awarded one via the SC over somebody with way more points than me. But there have been times where Tim has sorted me tickets, usually by way of a rogue spare he's found on here, or if we received a huge allocation that outweighed demand (like Newcastle the other week), games like this and Everton didn't or barely sold out, and people still moan that they can't get to away games (mid week, work in the morning, can't get a ticket etc.).

I'm very surprised that Newport tickets have become available so late in the day, on various ticket sites. My guess was this is down to points whores, as if it was supporters clubs, then surely the tickets would be mopped up by another member pretty swiftly. The current ticket system has its flaws, but I feel Tim and others in the past have received unwarranted flack for their opinions and roles. I've known Tim go out of pocket just so other blues can get to home games, selfless individuals like this should be applauded within any organisation or fanbase in my opinion.

The SC has been a big help for me socially since I joined 4 years ago after moving to a new part of the country.

Thanks Dan. I think Kippax Bill is in the Stretford and Urmston Branch and his SC Branch have sent 4 tickets by mistake. Like PB said, those tickets will
probably be cancelled and the intended recipients will get reprinted. Cheers
