BBC match report:

‘There was no overstating the gulf between these two clubs - Newport, with a squad value totalling £70,000, against Manchester City, the world's most richly-assembled squad at around £450m.’

Slight typo there, common mistake, typing Barcelona wrongly.
There’s a few teams who’s squads I think would be higher than us,rags being one of them ...

Jason Mohammed, BBC 5Live. Another one for the list: "My opinion on Manchester City changed after they signed Americ Laporte for £57m." The agenda is clear.
What’s he on about the cnut, there’s teams in our league who have spent more far more on one player than we have, someone needs to correct this prick, but it doesn’t fit in to mention them does it lets just blame it all on city...

Well excelled myself today and somehow managed to last to half time listening to pure crap. Music went on at half-time and it was a lot more enjoyable. I think you must be the basket case if you can enjoy listening to that shit.

Dead right . I always watch with the sound off too as I'm more than capable of figuring out what's going off without having to listen to that claptrap.

A city win was never going to be the popular result, which is understandable. Had it been any other prem team id be supporting newport.
But it was always likely and you move on, but this seems to be exposing plenty of irrational anti-city feelings.
Spending time pointing out the cost of players or their wages is so petty and out of touch. They’d better get used to it though because we’re going nowhere but up and the thoughts of pricks like dean saunders and jason muhammed are irrelevant in modern football

There’s agenda in the media to mention our spending at every oppotunity while not saying a word about other clubs spending. Its never going to end because of the bitterness of the scouser and rags plus those in the media who are sad Barst@ds who bring there bias to there work.

It will end once doing so costs them money.

So his opinion of City changed when we signed a player for £57M in the January transfer window.

Did his opinion of the Dippers change when they signed a player for £75M in the January window?

Did it f*ck.

JMIAC.

Honestly, have any of you ever known a club get this kind of shit before?
Every victory, no matter who it's against, comes with a catalogue of digs.
Win big against a lower division side and it's disrespectful. A narrow win, it's undeserved.
Win big against a good side, it's because they were shit.
I know people will say that commentators are gushing about the way we play. It's unavoidable though. We do play attractive football, we do have class players. To say otherwise would be crass stupidity.
I just can't understand the constant caveats that have to be added.

It doesn't matter to me whether the sound is on or off, I just get a constant droning sound from the direction of the wife.
Now if I could control her with a mute button, :)

They can’t cope, they will be celebrating like fuck when pep goes, not realising that regardless of us being biased as city fans,it is and has been a privilege to have pep managing in the premier league, they should be embracing his whole philosophy on football, instead of having digs at the club ( mostly) and pep...

In which case you don't truly appreciate the impact of what we have done to the established "elite" of European football and all of the leeching, obsequious sycophants who for years have profited from their association with them.

Well said that man, they adored him from afar and they would have done if he had gone to rags but they have wasted 3yrs trying to put him down,he has to change etc, then he shut them up last season but this season has been worse than ever, they wouldn't appreciate good football if it slapped them in the mush, they can't wait for him to leave hoping we will collapse without him,sad fucks

Hartson's co-commentary was abysmal today. Throughout the match he referred to Ederson as Emerson. After the first blatant nailed on handball was clearly shown both in real time and in the first replay he still said "We'll have to see that again" before eventually conceding it should have been a penalty. At 0-0 he said Pep wouldn't want a replay before being quickly corrected that there wouldn't be one anyway.

I wonder how much that millionaire ex-player was paid for his useless input compared to say, a volunteer hospital radio presenter? Maybe the media should do one of those cost and income comparison thingies they're so fond of.

Is Jason Mohammad an impartial journalist that we all pay for through our BBC tax? I reckon there could be a faint possibility that he grew up miles away from Trafford or Liverpool with a passing interest in football, but is now an avid red

He’s a cnut that’s for sure, add in the fact he’s employed by the bbc and should reign in his personal feelings when talking about certain teams, but it seems that it’s now just the given thing to slag off who they want to an extent on the bbc never mind any impartiality, and we pay a license fee for shite like that ...
