Two coin tosses. The first to choose ends, the second to decide who takes the first penalty. We lost both but won the shootout.

Kompany is back fit and Stones is back for Wednesday. Laporte has played a lot of football this season and the rest may do him some good as long as it's not a long term problem.great win but at what cost. If Ferna and Laporte are out for "weeks" as Pep says, we seriously jeopardise our chances in the other 3 competitions, especially the league. The more games you ask them to play the higher probability they get injured, and both these injuries were non contact injuries.
My wife thinks I'm weird, but I love penalty shoot outs, if you lose, well its disappointing, but I can cope (luckily I support a team that doesn't really lose them), but when you win, its the best way to win. To win a cup final that way is even better, that's three we've won at wembley now ;-)
And that sir is why Pep doesn't follow your posts.I'd play KDB in the defensive role. He's done it enough for Belgium.
IIRC there was a time when one toss did for both - you chose the ends but then your opponent had choice of first or second penalty, or vice versa, but those days are gone.

Yes, it was a final, and we did get a cup :)Are you counting Gillingham as a cup final,

It could be a way of compensating for his iffy form. He can be more responsible on the ball & tougher defensively when he puts his mind to it & like Fernandinho, he makes himself available & finds forward passes from that area rather than knocking it sideways & backwards.
But whatever happens, we are a man short defending set pieces, without Fernandinho. None of the replacements other than Stones are adept at that.

The first coin toss can be ruled out if one end isn't a fit surface to take penalties on. Though that was not the case yesterday. Two coin tosses. The first to choose ends, the second to decide who takes the first penalty. We lost both but won the shootout.
