One of the most often repeated and useless comments going: you just have to beat what's in front of you and, at the moment, we keep doing that.

Mahrez is poor at present but Silva and KDB are not rank; albeit they are not at their best. However, no good reason why those two should not be able to step it up.

Certainly don't agree with that comment, We could of scored numerous goals tonight, Created plenty of chances! On another day we could of won 6-0.

But that's what people expect these days is to be putting 6 past teams every week.

Stand out performances from Otamendi and especially Danilo.
 
Cannot say I enjoyed that match, but after their exploits on Sunday couldn’t ask for more than a win which is what we got. Both fullbacks played well. Need a cloning machine for Bernie, the energy he brings is second to none.

Fair fucks to the ref who l thought was very good, hardly noticed him there but did the right things when he needed to.

A sight better once Bernie and Raz came on. Mahrez’ days have got to be numbered. We are so profligate it borders on the ridiculous at times. Saw the game out well in the last 5 minutes
 
Shooting practice first thing in the morning, also not sure we can keep affording to play D. Silva and KDB together

A lot of people either do not choose their words carefully or have no perspective. If the team or a player is not at their scintillating best, they get called poor or worse, when by comparison to most players, they are far from poor.

Embarrassingly evident. He ran with intensity for the duration and lifted the whole team. By contrast, watch Sane sitting on the floor in the 50th minute and then ambling back to get onside. There were numerous times when Zinchenko was looking for an outlet and Sane was nowhere to be seen or at best jogging around. Mahrez is also slowing down play but that is in the fleeting moments when he actually gets on the ball. Both need a kick up the proverbial, as that kind of lackluster approach is only piling more work on the rest.
 
Phew!

That was hard work, but well done boys for digging in and taking the three points.

Great to keep the pressure on the buswreckers and if one of those early chances had gone in, it would have probably been a far easier evening.

But credit to the Hammers; that’s only the second time we’ve scored only one goal, and the fourth that we’ve scored less than three in 21 games at Etihad all season.

MotM? Oleks.
 
big big big win and when you play at 50% and can get over the line then you take it and move on, we really need a break and playing 3 games a week is catching up fast, can we hope for heavy snow or rain and wind flooding fog power cut or something and get a game called off hahaha

not digging anybody tonight and you knew we would be a shadow of our-self but good to see KDB doing 90 minutes and running the game in injury time plus zinchenko playing well and the subs made a difference, but we need mendy delph jesus stones walker to get fully fit and on the field and playing because we are down to the bare bones

Anderson comes in from the wrong side and doesn't get the ball. It's a foul. When it's Salah going down, all and sundry
are telling us there is contact. We get a penalty, where no scythe is used and it's soft. Nah, definite penalty for me.
Anderson has to more careful in there.
