They didn't happen very often mate, but you're spot on. I never seen my old fella as ecstatic as i did that day.

In the hysteria that followed the Elk's opener, my glasses got bent, though they were still wearable and I got them straightened later in the week.

At that time, I used to travel up from Stoke to the match with a couple, and her dad lived on Platt Lane. We went there pre-game and post-game for a cuppa while the traffic died down. When we arrived back, I realised I was hoarse from all the shouting.

Our first derby win since the Maine Road Massacre. Was the wait worth it? I think so.
