Clive Allen deserves a mention, the fans were right behind him, pity the manager's weren't.

I was pretty underwhelmed by Clive Allen and saw most of his games live inclding away at Chelsea when he scored a very good goal. Not really sure he did much more than Paul Moulden would have if we had kept him - he qualifies as a cult hero imo.

What is the difference between cult hero and legend?
For me our legends are sergio,vinny,dave,dinho etc,cult hero is more of a skilled player but with added character

A cult hero is someone that only we (City fans) get which rules out Sergio etc because he is widely admired. I know you didn’t say it but he has been mentioned. Not necessarily skilful but one who gave it all. Mark Lillis, Paul Dickov, etc.
