Which games then? In addition to the games against us in the CL, I’ve seen him 5-6 times in Ligue 1 and he has been great every single time. Amazing on the ball, good passer, quick, strong and good defensively. Amazing talent, and I’m sure he could be the best DM in the world with Pep’s guidance

He wont play a minute all next season either, no one will buy him from us for a transfer fee most teams will wait to get his contract run down and take him for free 2020 summer instead this summer, only difference is we pay him one more year salary. Probably he will get injured during this period in training.

Mangala has also turned down every single opportunity he has got offered, yet club seems to think they can get fee?

This makes no sense whatsoever. Mangala up until today could offer himself to any club and choose whichever suited him the best in terms of location and wages offered as he was out of contract in the summer. He may well be on less money here next season but who the fuck is going to offer him the same wages AND a fee to us?
 
Can only think of two explanations. We think we can get a decent fee for him or we fear a transwer ban and are covering our bases.

Also, city missed a trick not waiting until April fools day to announce this,

Fair play to Mangala though, seems like he's got a great attitude, it won't be on a significant wage, he knows he won't play unless absolutely necessary and if we do sell him on he will be missing out on a hefty windfall from any signing on bonus he could have demanded from signing on a free transfer.

Didn't see that coming.
Remember thinking he always seems to be well liked by his fellow players even though he has been out for a long time.
Pleased for him and wherever this is leading and given a chance who knows he might prove to be a great back up when called upon
