This weekends games, could end up being the pivotal moment in the race for the league.
With Champions League matches not quite put to bed, especially in Liverpool’s case, needing a result away to Bayern Munich.

Can you imagine the dipper uproar if they were the only English team not to progress, “huge pressure”.

We do have an advantage having the next two games at home, and have a favourable result to work with.
Whilst they have to travel out to Germany.

Both teams have very winnable games on paper, against Watford and Burnley. But as football goes nothing is won on paper.

Could we see the dippers taking their minds off the Burnley game, thinking it’ll be an easy win.
Although Burnley have leaked goals against us, and Liverpool this season.
They now find themselves only a couple of points above the relegation spots, and will be fighting for their premier league survival.

This will be a hard game for Liverpool if 100% concentration and respect is not given to Burnley.
The same can be said for our game against Watford, with them chasing the 7th spot.

So I can quite easily see a win for City, and Liverpool to draw, or even loose against Burnley. Simply because of the magnitude a result against
Bayern has become!

I was thinking regarding Liverpool and their game against bayern . Would we rather have bayern win and have a demoralised Liverpool or have them win and let them have extra fixtures to play along with the potential to get knocked out in the next round anyway. Conundrum?

We ideally need the Scousers to beat Bayern, preferably after extra time and with some injuries. If they get eliminated next week, they will concentrate 100% on the league title.

Agree. People say don't give them momentum. But as the international week is lurking, any momentum they would get will dissipate. Vice versa, any disappointment they get from a loss at Munich will fizzle out & they would be able to concentrate on the league, which we don't want.

Burnley at home should be a formality for Liverpool, but the pressure will be on if we beat Watford and are four points ahead. Midday Sunday kick offs can often be quite flat affairs with the crowd subdued. Not really holding out much hope of Burnley getting anything, but you never know. Obviously we need to win our game first though! Hopefully a few days off this week will give the squad a boost.

Yes, much needed rest even if it’s only a week.
I agree with your assessment of Burnley, but a dirty rough game is not what the Dippers need this weekend.

Crossing my fingers.

Just think of the

I look at it as a win win scenario.

The late great Brian Clough once said. 'If football was played on paper; I'd of bought an accountant for Centre forward.

If we beat Watford I think Burnley at home suddenly becomes a very tricky game. Their team and fans will be bricking it and if Liverpool don’t get an early goal I can honestly see them drawing or even losing this one
