Reading through this and as someone with just over 13,400 points, I'm probably going to have a bit of bias, but I really cannot understand the way people are losing their heads over the ID thing. I've earned my points, I accept that I won't get tickets to every away game, but that's fine because quite frankly I couldn't afford to even if I did have the points. When you go to away games, it's always good to see some of the same faces, particularly when you're trying to work out which pub to go to (and which one to avoid, as there are some fools that can't handle themselves sensibly on away days).
If you've got the points and are going to use your ticket for yourself, what do you have to worry about?
If you qualify and buy the ticket, it's yours, so having your ID checked ensures that you're not being pushed out of the way by people that don't. It's a fair measure. I get that it can be frustrating if you've got to queue up for a while to have it check or make an excursion to pick up the ticket rather than going straight from the pub to the turnstile, but FFS "it's giving up my free time". Grow up.
How else do you want them to do manage the situation?
