When we had The Chadderton Branch, we were favoured, so I guess nothing has changed. Remember Bernard getting over 100 tickets for an OT derby.
Was that not the game we were sat in theie end in the United Road in one long row of seats.
Lost 2-1. When we scored we all jumped up. Not a tap from Utd. Yet they still say we never turned up at the swamp

If the club were more transparent about where tickets were going, why so many end up on ticket sites that shouldn't be there etc etc then the debate about ID checks wouldn't be an issue. For most games those that want to go to a game will get a ticket, it's the few games such as the derby, dippers and maybe Chelsea that there is an issue as well as those with limited numbers such as Bournemouth. The main issue is that suddenly the corporates want a jolly that isn't too far away and want to impress a client and they have tickets galore made available. How many corporates are going to Swansea this week? If these guys want away tickets as part of their packages then they shouldn't be getting tickets to the so called big six games. Let them have Newcastle away in December on a freezing Wednesday night or Swansea away on a Saturday evening with no public transport back.

Our local one makes a point of refusing tickets to anyone found to be passing them on

With all due respect the team and things have moved on since you were involved in a branch so the allocation and bun fight for tickets is more extreme.
I'm not disputing that fellow Blues travel alongside supporters clubs, it makes sense for everyone to travel together to cut down the cost, but currently there's no logic or fairness in the allocation of tickets to the branches, we all know some branches are favoured more than others and i'm amazed that you're so naive to think it doesn't go on?
As i posted to PB, if there's nothing to hide and it's all done kosher then why not make it transparent for all to see, it can't be that hard?
Quite a few of us wouldn’t know if one Branch is favoured more than another or not mate. Any help with away tickets is just a bonus IMHO. 2 tickets per popular game now seems the norm (we’re approaching 100 members) and that’s fine by me.
I’m looking forward to the 125 year events, including Gary James’ event with the OSC. We’ve also been lucky enough to receive our Supporters Club Plaque this season. Away tickets is a minority issue for many Branches, just like it is for the majority of season card holders.

Maybe the relevant fans rep can ask the direct question we have all been asking. Despite not yet selling out one ticket site is selling a ticket for £100. Now they either have the ticket in which case how or if someone wants to buy it they will try and source one. Question is how will they obtain one?Here is the answer Manchester City Football Club

The worst place for this proposal would be OT. That away end is shocking
it's a dreadful proposal full stop, made by a jobsworth who clearly doesn't do many aways. What about in London and you travel by train and want to drink in town, but one of your party has to trawl down to Crystal Palace to be checked, completely ruining the day out, despite spending a fortune to get there, bearing in mind a quarter of away s are in London

Some have said it is a proposal so from views here, it could be just that.
The other one is taking 15% of the allocation to season ticket holders and giving to 18-25 year olds in a ballot.
Is the ballot points based or just by age? Amongst all of this I have not seen the full proposal.
Need to locate the minutes of the meetings

How long would I.D. checks take? I can't imagine it would take anymore than 30 seconds, one minute tops. I speak as somebody who does a lot of aways including all the European ones where this was implemented. I have enough points to get tickets for euro aways but my friend who usually doesn't, got one on his own points for them all.
I am not going to work it out but if you go to all the aways, how many times a season is this going to affect you? On average I'm guessing once or twice.
I don't understand why something that would cause minor inconvenience once or twice a season has some people reacting in such extreme ways.
Unless of course they have an ulterior motive.

- The implementation of the no points for away games will clearly reduce points whores, as there’s no need. So this measure may be redundant. So I’d say give it time to see if ‘no points’ has the secured affect before using more draconian measures.
So if I am reading this correctly .If I have a ticket for an away game and in the morning of the game I cant go because I am ill. I will be unable to pass the tickets on to a family member or friend and no one can uses it.How would it effect ticket agencies ,sponsers. players tickets ect. If you have ID checks for away games whats to stop ID checkes for home games

I haven't conveniently forgotten anything mate, if it was down to me, yes everybody would be subjected to checks.
I agree with you about points whores but we would still have the problem of people already with big points getting tickets (from friends)to make sure their coaches are full, whether they are SC. coaches or not.

I love this ulterior motive nonsense, twice it has been labelled towards me.
What motive could I have exactly, please explain your stance
I have said before , there are 2 things I object to:
1) On my day out I do as I please, not as I am requested
2) I do not carry ID as I do not see the need
You must not do many away games if you think that we are not inconvenienced now, were you there at Bournemouth, were you there at Everton, were you there at Liverpool. Shocking queues, we have yet to go to the Swamp.
It is the slippy slope, this collecting tickets and ID business was shown to be a nonsense before and still is.
