“City Matters” fan committee

So if I am reading this correctly .If I have a ticket for an away game and in the morning of the game I cant go because I am ill. I will be unable to pass the tickets on to a family member or friend and no one can uses it.How would it effect ticket agencies ,sponsers. players tickets ect. If you have ID checks for away games whats to stop ID checkes for home games
What are the chances of that happening?

Being selected to have ID checks made on you and on the same day becoming ill on the day of the game. I have been going since 1974 and have never yet become ill on the day of a game.

Like I said, why are people reacting in extreme ways?

I haven't conveniently forgotten anything mate, if it was down to me, yes everybody would be subjected to checks.

I agree with you about points whores but we would still have the problem of people already with big points getting tickets (from friends)to make sure their coaches are full, whether they are SC. coaches or not.

So, why can't we run both of these measures side by side for a couple of seasons?
Personally i have nothing to I hide except my privacy. And it isn’t extreme to want to protect.
Why do you think GDPR was brought in? Was that extreme?
A right enshrined in law that you seemingly do not understand.

I go to most away games in this country, abroad and in Stretford and i was against the ID checks from the beginning. Not for any other reason that it’s neither yours or the club’s business to either allocate my time or require me to carry ID.
The fact that you think it will allievate people passing on tickets is far less serious to me than giving up my freedoms, that you and our rep find laughable.
I hope your jack boots aren’t too tight.

Odd that as I never know when i’m going to have an arthritic attack, I’ll ask the doctor can they be scheduled in future, cheers for the info

I love this ulterior motive nonsense, twice it has been labelled towards me.

What motive could I have exactly, please explain your stance

I have said before , there are 2 things I object to:

1) On my day out I do as I please, not as I am requested
2) I do not carry ID as I do not see the need

You must not do many away games if you think that we are not inconvenienced now, were you there at Bournemouth, were you there at Everton, were you there at Liverpool. Shocking queues, we have yet to go to the Swamp.

It is the slippy slope, this collecting tickets and ID business was shown to be a nonsense before and still is.
I have explained what I think might be your motive above.

On your day out you go when the tv tells you to.
Did you carry ID at the European aways when you had to?

I wasn't at Bournemouth no, (not enough points) but I was at Everton and Liverpool. I am going to Swansea and Fulham and probably every other away I get tickets to.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it of course, it is not mine and I am also entitled to my opinion.

Accusing me of being a Nazi just makes you sound like a bellend keyboard warrior.

You should have said I had a few spare for Bournemouth ;)

No the bell ends, such a charming way that you became personally abusive, are those who think they can tell others what they should or shouldn’t be doing. I find it ironic that you say everyone is entitled to an opinion and yet you don’t see the correlation that everyone also has the right to spend their free time without infringement form the likes of you.
The problem isn’t mine or of my creation yet I’m supposed to be inconvenienced to suit you. You expect me to do something thats not required in law to suit you and you expect me to give up my time and privacy to suit you. That certainly sounds controlling to me.

You don't know me, you don't know my race, colour or creed and yet you feel the need to insult me for having an opinion, and you call me a Nazi, Oh the irony! You wouldn't call me a Nazi to my face but you would on here hence, keyboard warrior. Bellend? That's just poetic licence ;-)

I didn’t say you were a Nazi, you’ve added that for drama.
I asked how your jack boots were as you were espousing the infringing of people’s rights whilst at the same time demanding the right to an opinion and the right to tell people what to do.
Not only have you proved to be arrogant and rude you have also shown yourself up as an hypocrite. None of which demands you to be of any particular race, creed or colour.
And your poetry and opinions stink.

PS and anyone mouthing your right wing ideas to me in person would get the same response, in person.
Maybe if I had my keyboard with me I might hit them with it ( a joke)

Well done you .Even players get ill on day of the game

No, just expressing.

and where does it all end?

Funny that the club is thinking of making it harder for actual fans to get tickets by introducing ID checks for away games but them themselves will sell to anybody

They will even sell your ticket for you, who remembers the Celtic match. I am sure loads of ID checks were done there to prevent Jock McJock getting in the ground

I have a mate, a Scot, who has been banned from City because they claim he sold his ticket to a Celtic fan. To rub salt in his wound he is from Glasgow, but he’s a Rangers fan!

ID checks is not the correct term, there will be several people (100-200) according to our so-called rep, that will have to collect their ticket, with ID at away games. There now, even the most ardent hater of the people at the head of the loyalty point queue can see how that is a disgraceful inconvenience.

Wait till you see all the away fans in our end tonight wearing their colours. The stewards can't even distinguish between home and away shirts so how are they going to identify fans from a photo...

In the new spirit of openness that the club has embraced I fully expect them to do the following if ID checks are introduced for away games:

State categorically in the T&Cs that only the purchaser can use them.

Do the checks in the same ratio that each group has in terms of getting tickets: 60%/20%/15%/5%.

Publish the figures of how many in each category have been caught passing tickets on and what sanctions have been imposed on them.

Ryan Air sell tickets and Via frigging go go do as well .They check squat .Sponsers, players, directors ,ex players ect get allocated tickets and pass on to family friends ect .How will that work .Checking Id ect in my opinion should not even be discussed or entertained by the fans reps
