I remember one of their managers saying that football was not about life and death it was much more serious than that.
He was I think tongue in cheek when he said that but living up to what they see as this reputation allows change from arrogant bully to victim instantly.
I know quite a few Pool supporters who are normally reasonable even when discussing football so they are not 100 percent unable to see other peoples points of view but they have that reputation.

It feels dirty, but I agree with them. The endless humiliating photos of women enjoying themselves for the purposes of public entertainment pisses me off.

Shankly. I remember him playing Leeds and the Dippers won 1-0. Their goal was controversial but given and Leeds scored a legitimate one and it was chalked off. Revie was already fuming but kept his cool. In the days when managers were interviewed post-match together, on the pitch, the commentator asked Shankly about the goals. "Well, as I see it, ours was a gid 'un and theirs wasna!" Revie did his best to keep a smile under control.

Indeed. But they should be left alone to enjoy themselves, not be a target for the press to home in and use them for a laugh. It's not that it should be illegal or anything, it's just distasteful. Leave them alone.

I'm afraid the media have always been intrusive and misrepresenting any event or taking it out of context creates headlines which "sells papers".
An industry that is proud to say "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story" is merely contemptuous of anything resembling fairness.

Everybody deserves to see their club win something or even challenge. That is why FFP is so morally unjust

I agree,but my point, it happens everywhere mostly wkends,
Plus they did the same last year(i think) at Ascot,they did a very similar piece,on the Toffs..

The longer they are in the title race the more these articles will be published and the more fans will want us to win the league. We remain the preferred club to most fans because those that go to games know we are a decent bunch. The armchair fans who give us stick about empty seats and being an oil club don't bother watching their own teams.

Liverpool are generally hated because of their attitude. Scousers in general are disliked nationally.

Southampton hate them for taking their players, most clubs will want to stop them winning the league. Palace took great pleasure in cocking things up for them in 2014, as did Chelsea. I doubt Klopp is as loved by other managers as Pep either. And that does make a difference. Pep is generally always respectful and never complains, Klopp will throw any excuse out there.

I am hoping the general dislike of Liverpool will see teams do all they can to stop them winning it. Their recent performances and results will give teams a sense that they can be beaten.

The Liverpool fans who can remember Shankly and when they were in Division 2 are fine. The rest of them seem to mostly split into two camps: The local thugs who attack our fans and buses near the stadium (and can't afford to watch games) and the vast army of deluded plastics from across the world. It's not a good mix.
