Conspiracy theories......

Quite a few people using the term ‘money laundering’ without actually knowing its meaning.

the most ridiculous i've ever heard was an Argentinian war ship, obsolete before Pearl Harbour, was a threat to a nuclear submarine....
Or maybe it was a threat to land based troops with its big guns.

Another one that was never solved.
I don't think anyone contests that security services use all kinds of scum and allow crime to proceed to protect inside assets. In the light of this it's no surprise that people believe in conspiracy.

I thought that one was solved. DNA evidence and a confession?

Theres some brilliant ones that have since been proven. But the absolute bat shit crazy ones are winners for me.

Those fucking lizards admitting they're real during Brexit I bet no one would bat an eyelid.

I always loved how this was painted as evidence to refute the conspiracy theorists questioning the beating of war drums as anything but typical imperial hubris

Good times, seems we've learned nothing

No, it was a threat to the task force, and a major one. It had bigger guns than any British ship, was escorted by Exocet armed destroyers, and at the same time the 25 de Mayo aircraft carrier was coming down from the north, with the commanding Argentine admiral having ordered a "massive attack" on the British fleet the day before.

Not only was it not a conspiracy, the British had specifically warned that any naval asset anywhere was liable to be attacked, and the only remote question mark is why they wobbled in Whitehall for so long before allowing Conqueror to sink the damn thing. If the British lost a carrier they lost the war. They knew, so did Argentina, which is why they tried so hard to get one. And if anyone wants a real conspiracy theory, the still going insanity of a belief that Argentina sank Invincible is a priceless one, involving magically transporting Illustrious down to the south Atlantic and building a fourth one in under a year.

I like the one about Prince Harry's missus being the first step in the plan for the UK to retake the USA.
